according to my knowledge:
Tammy
Pros: cheap, sharp, constant aperature
Cons: big, tamron build quality, ugly
note: screw drive in A77/A65 is relatively fast and silent! so don't mind about focusing
Sigma
Pros: silent AF, constant aperature, (smaller than tamron)
Cons: Sigma build quality, unreliable sigma AF (everyone knows), CF
i recommend the non-hsm version since A77's screw drive really quite fast!
Sony 70-300 G
Pros: longer reach, SSM, Sharp, smallest among the 3, cheapest among 3!, Looks damn nice!
Cons: smaller and not constant aperature( but you've got F58), quite slow focus in longer focal length
first of all she like to shoot for long distance subject. hate the short 18-55mm fl
yup agreed with u NutZ748. i found 2 popular problem with this tammy/sigma.
1- sigma -
GOOD AF But IQ lost to tammy
and " hansem Lens".
2- Tammy
GOOD IQ but slow AF
and yup not so "hansem' and also heavy -
is not that i can't go with cheaper option like tammy/sony 70/75-300mm but i don't want to end up buying another telephoto lens. for me the most important thing is IQ.. AND sony 70-300g seem to have better control on color fringing which is i'm very2 particular about this part. really hate to see the purple/blue color.
not so worry about f2.8 ( blur n speed).
