Thank you. If this is the case...i will go buy later. My friend also said...if those images taken by Sony DSLR...you will need to use Sony device to view the clarity of the photos. If use other brand to see, then the colour not nice.  sad.gif

Use normal alkaline will do. Film cams are very very power saving.
False. Very very false as a matter of fact.

How is this for Sony's not producing 'good colors'? Which one you want? Mirroless? dSLR? dSLT?

I personally dont believe in 'good filters'. Well unless you're having a 70200/2.8 or any CZ lenses (above 3k) then maybe getting a CZ filter for it is worth it. I'm only using Marumi for my 16105 and a Hoya HMC for my 70300G.
*
how much u bought those filters? i never exp any light interference using filter on my SAL24-105. just discovered this issue with my 1st prime SAL5014. with 2 small active children it's make me worried that they might touch the lens surface and then "draw some cartoons" on it cry.gif . thinking to get "okay" filter" but not so expensive. any recommendation?

Lol, you are saying like other than those lens above 3k, it not worth getting a good filter eh?

To each of their own, but I rarely use filter, except where there is a crowd/street shooting.

Sorry guys I have to change the venue - I just found out that photography wasn't allowed at the Gardens Food Court. So we'll go to Starbucks instead.

What: TT with the Sandisk Extreme Pro!
Where: Starbucks at Gardens Midvalley, First Floor
When: 4pm Monday, 28th November 2011

1. albnok
2. chiahau
3. lwliam
4. Lacus
5. hiroki8704
6. soket
7.
8.
9.
10.

8tvt: Nice #1 and #10!

eddybeh: Shit! What a bummer.

alphazal: Green flare is actually "ghosting" - the reflection of the bright flourescent light. You'll see it's exactly a 180 degrees rotation from the bright lights. This only happens when you have a filter on. Nice #6 by the way!

Well I'd rather have a filter on at all times, despite the problem that ghosting gives, even with more expensive filters - they definitely increase contrast and reduce flare, but none I've seen totally remove ghosting. There's just less ghosting.

ahpingko: Nice one with the reflection! I've not seen that.

kysham: A bit too magenta what's up with that? I like the light otherwise and how the seat is colored.

ieR: Nice! If only it was nearer.

Thanks albnok biggrin.gif

I just bought an A580 for my interest in photography.
Got myself a kit lens 1855. Didn't like the capabilities from this lens at all and the design is making me speechless.
Planning to sell off my kit lens and go for lens from Minolta.
My budget is very tight nowadays and not planning to go over RM300+.

Few lens I'm going to get first :
1. Minolta F4 35-70mm (mini beercan)
2. Minolta F1.7 50mm (prime)
3. ---
4. ---
5. ---

I do feel that every photographer must have a telephoto lens and a prime lens.
if you think that any lens that can improve the IQ and might cause a bit more, Please do advise.
Also, I don't mind other third party lens from tamron, sigma and etc. Most probably prefer second hand.

P/s : why userbar for A580 doesn't exist?? hmm.gif
*
hi..i'm also a580 user... for me kit lens 1855 is the best kit lens for ur dslr. size n weight... i used to have canon 50d+1855+18200 and nikon d40+1855....sony 1855 is the best.. sharp and produce best color. some more the MFD also is quite good...you can close to subject..

personally if i don't have any other lens.. i will keep the 1855 and get the sony 50mm 1.8 if u are on budget. 35mm will make u crazy if u don't have enough space..

i have sony 24105..but sometimes also " pening"..to shot a small grp at small room.

k... couple arguing... i'll try to find that next time... just some random shots... playing around with the new toy...
still a lot to learn... smile.gif
err... y u sell ur lens??? just ask cos saw ur signature down there...
*
for a better lens - but more expensive la of course kan... takkan shoot even ( main photog) pakai kit lens...mengamuk la customer..klu kit lens maybe anak sedara dia pun ada. doh.gif ...at least 17-50 tammy ker.... but most important thing is IQ........ this is also is about your business credibility, 1855mm is a good kit lens...but 17-50mm is a great lens for event thumbup.gif . i'm maybe looking at 17-50 tammy or 16-50 sony..just wait until 16-50 come to malaysia n then i decide..see how much is the price.

another reason selling some of my lenses is because i need to "re-organize" my lens line up..currently i got

18-55mm
24-105mm
55-200mm
50mm f1.4

future line up will be

17-50 or 16-50
minolta 100-200mm f4.5 ( won an ebay auction - coming from us this week )- great lens rclxm9.gif
50mm f1.4
or maybr keep the 24-105mm
and king of macro --- RAYNOX 250

but all this depends on you interest..if want to make money...need to invest more... if just a hobby..then u got option.. whistling.gif

bro,aku shoot event wedding semua pakai kitlens,50mm dgn flash...kastemer tak ngamok pun...most important is how you utilize your gears...having all the best gears wont produce the most epicwin image if the person behinds the camera doesnt know how to use it to its advantage... smile.gif
*
i agreed wit u biggrin.gif ... but your are lucky that u haven't been into that situation.. i did cry.gif .. i was helping covering an event.. gomen dinner at hotel in png for my friends..... i was approach by one of the organiser.... asking me why i'm using kit lens..this is a paid job.. actually i just arrived and 1855mm is oledy attached to my dslr as i planned to get more wide angle shot before attaching 24105mm...i explained to him that i'm not the main photographer... i'm just the 3rd shooter and the 1st and 2nd photog are at the VVIP area (MINISTER+KETUA2 PENGARAH)... AND they are using much more better lenses (CZ & L lens).

He said... " to cover an event like this..you need better lens and other more professional gear...not just some kit lens.." he also said that they have paid a quite high price to photographer to cover the whole event........

i told him that my gear are more than enough as my position tonight is more to " candid" rather than " bergambar bersama menteri".......

i got fed up with his attitude and attached my 24105mm + Battery grip+f58+softbox and asked him..it this " look " professional enough? he then smiles and said.." WELL ..THIS SHOULD BE ENOUGH... AT LEAST OTHERS KNOW THAT WE HIRE A PRO RATHER THAN JUST SOME PHOTOG".....then he walk away.........

Really spoiled my mood... sad.gif

well one thing that learn from this incident is... not all will judge u by looking at the results...they just simply say NO..... doh.gif

and fact is " i'm not a pro doh.gif "

Wedding event - only pengantin can complain cause they are the one who paid u

BIG event like Fussy Gomen Dinner 500-700 pax - usually will be organize by comittee members..maybe gred 27-40... but they will be monitor by Ketua Unit..and ketua Unit will be reporting to TP1 n TP2..and so on to the PEGARAH... If let say pengarah received complain..than die la...all mesti kene "kan"...So every body will try not to kene... so just imagine how many person that we have to be " JAGA HATI"..... sweat.gif

for me..to get a good candid shot is not to reveal your self to much..just act like one of them... just dslr + lens and walk around... whistling.gif whistling.gif . people will start looking at you when u hang a big d*mn camera with flash pointing to ur "lubang hidung".....all will jaga2...once u stop n point the camera..they will start to act macho..pretty ..jambu brows.gif n u loose the "moment".......... doh.gif

i once kena like that...my answer was simple,"you want to see pro gears or you want shitty pictures???i can do both..." *with a troll face smile*
