Asked about sony wide angle lens at lowyat today
and the shop staff intro me the "wide angle adapter"
can use to shoot wide angle (X0.45), macro & potrait ( with max Aperture + max ISO + flash )
Cost RM970 for DIGIeye brand, and RM1200 for another X0.05 adapter ( forgotten the brand ).

is it worth to get the adapter? (according to the shop staff, the above 3 sony lens will cost RM5k+ )
how come sony adapter are so expensive compare to nikon / canon ( seems less then RM500 )
how to know the adapter is for any kind of DSLR or only for certain brand ?

i'm newbie to DSLR

terdit: From the Sony lenses only, the 11-18mm is around RM20xx, the 30mm F2.8 DT SAM Macro is RM7xx and the 85mm F2.8 DT SAM is RM8xx. So it should be about RM35xx!

Your 75-300mm is already very capable of being a portrait lens.

the 6 month extension is fake one...
last time my A500's warrantee was not registered after 1 year plus...then i realised and registered it after that...
sony's official website wrote me the expired date of the warrantee is XX XX 2012...
but after i send to warrantee...at the service centre, the guy tell me that my camera's warrantee has expired...

i don't know much about super long zoom lens...but i think tammy 18-270 is around 2k...\
but for the price range...i think u can get a pretty nice lens with less zoom like
1) Sony 16-105 , you still got Rm 5xx extra, if u need range u can buy another 55-200sam for that price too.

2) CZ 16-80

3) Tammy 17-50 (if u dun mind range)..you still got plenty of money left...

but last time i played with 18-250...the lens is quite solid...focusing is fast but abit noisy...
sharpness wise...i didnt put it into pc so...i dont know

how much u bought those filters? i never exp any light interference using filter on my SAL24-105. just discovered this issue with my 1st prime SAL5014. with 2 small active children it's make me worried that they might touch the lens surface and then "draw some cartoons" on it  . thinking to get "okay" filter" but not so expensive. any recommendation?

Lol, you are saying like other than those lens above 3k, it not worth getting a good filter eh?

To each of their own, but I rarely use filter, except where there is a crowd/street shooting.

Anyways, telephoto is quite comfortable to work with also, since you don't have to be that close to the model, thus creating some space for you to work your creative or something like that.
