I've owned the a55 and a580 before. In the end I decided to keep my a580 and sell my a55. Why not get the a65? Its not much more compared to this two.

Asked about sony wide angle lens at lowyat today
and the shop staff intro me the "wide angle adapter"
can use to shoot wide angle (X0.45), macro & potrait ( with max Aperture + max ISO + flash )
Cost RM970 for DIGIeye brand, and RM1200 for another X0.05 adapter ( forgotten the brand ).

is it worth to get the adapter? (according to the shop staff, the above 3 sony lens will cost RM5k+ )
how come sony adapter are so expensive compare to nikon / canon ( seems less then RM500 )
how to know the adapter is for any kind of DSLR or only for certain brand ?

i'm newbie to DSLR
hope someone will help to solve my curious

many thanks ! notworthy.gif

Alamak.. I can get the adapter for rm120. doh.gif

ya e-jump, i have a lot that need to learn >.<"
i know the 18-55 is wide angle, but i hope to get 1 that more wide, such as 11-18mm
for macro and portrait... not for now

Btw very thanks for your explanation  notworthy.gif

Bro. We don't use UWA for macro and portrait. Macro needs to be frame-filling. Portrait we usually use wide angle - Tele. UWA is mostly for landscape, group pictures etc.

Newbieeeeee: You had an A55?

chiahau: Nice shot!

NutZ748: I doubt they'd fix that, considering they never fixed it on any of the models. I doubt there is a way to send a signal to the lens, which is probably physically clutched to the focus ring, to tell it to enter DMF mode.

e-jump: The 24mm F2.0 ZA is around RM3xxx.

terdit: From the Sony lenses only, the 11-18mm is around RM20xx, the 30mm F2.8 DT SAM Macro is RM7xx and the 85mm F2.8 DT SAM is RM8xx. So it should be about RM35xx!

Your 75-300mm is already very capable of being a portrait lens.

lwliam: Rather plain lighting - could use a bit of that softbox look.
*
Yeah. I got it for RM1500 with warranty few months back! thumbup.gif. didn't really like the small grip, especially when there's no battery grip. Everything else was fine. Didn't really like the EVF but the a65/77's one... brows.gif. Now I think back the size is extremely small. Should have kept as second body. Hand itching to get the a77 but I've got no reason to get it. doh.gif

Dude. Common la. doh.gif It's all up to you right. you dislike him then don't buy from him lah! Simple! Choice is in your hands.

And I 100% agree with him. Uncle Chin NEVER gives discount. I spent 5k+ one shot, not even a single ringgit he discounted. If you think he's offering you an awesome price please go ahead and get from him. But don't complain that you can get cheaper outside after buying lah. smile.gif

The G is slightly sharper and more expensive.

Otherwise, the new Tamron with USD is quite decent, around 1k++ region.
I never even bother to sell him anything, how can he buy from me also?  laugh.gif

You buy the a580 n 16105 from him right?

last time my A500's warrantee was not registered after 1 year plus...then i realised and registered it after that...
sony's official website wrote me the expired date of the warrantee is XX XX 2012...
but after i send to warrantee...at the service centre, the guy tell me that my camera's warrantee has expired...

i don't know much about super long zoom lens...but i think tammy 18-270 is around 2k...\
but for the price range...i think u can get a pretty nice lens with less zoom like
1) Sony 16-105 , you still got Rm 5xx extra, if u need range u can buy another 55-200sam for that price too.

2) CZ 16-80

3) Tammy 17-50 (if u dun mind range)..you still got plenty of money left...

but last time i played with 18-250...the lens is quite solid...focusing is fast but abit noisy...
sharpness wise...i didnt put it into pc so...i dont know sweat.gif
*
You can't do anything cause you are the one who registered late. I think when you buy the seller will key-in to some records for Sony Malaysia. Maybe they're just going according to that record. But you can try to argue with him, by showing him the date on Sony website. If its me I'll do that lah.

This suddenly poped out of my mind. Would someone rather get the 135/1.8 or the 85/1.4? I'd rather get the 85/1.4 though.

if let say 30mbps card still holding back the A77 by much.. then i should consider..

it's something like.. can spent until rm4k.. why not rm400..  laugh.gif
still want to see the fact sheet ler..

still slow meh?
30mbps consider class 10 right?

must upload to you tube..  laugh.gif  flex.gif

Then theres nothing to worry. Since you most probably wont be using the 12fps anyways. I have 7fps, let me tell you, i've only used it once for a rugby match. 5fps? once. For an F1 thingy. 3fps? Never.

im interested wit DEMB  hmm.gif
*
Demb is the most expensive amongst them. It's the best if and only if you have a ceiling to bounce. If you have a ceiling. There will be absolutely NO shadows at all behind the subject. It can help save batteries. It allows the flash to fire with a low power since ~40% is bounced forward. It is best use with the F43/58.

In conclusion :

Pros :
Save batteries, less stress on flash
Superb soft lighting with no shadow

Cons :
Extremely expensive
Requires a ceiling
Very big

I personally dont believe in 'good filters'. Well unless you're having a 70200/2.8 or any CZ lenses (above 3k) then maybe getting a CZ filter for it is worth it. I'm only using Marumi for my 16105 and a Hoya HMC for my 70300G.

how much u bought those filters? i never exp any light interference using filter on my SAL24-105. just discovered this issue with my 1st prime SAL5014. with 2 small active children it's make me worried that they might touch the lens surface and then "draw some cartoons" on it  cry.gif . thinking to get "okay" filter" but not so expensive. any recommendation?
*
Mines both 62mm. RM10x for Marumi and RM6x for Hoya HMC.

Lol, you are saying like other than those lens above 3k, it not worth getting a good filter eh?

To each of their own, but I rarely use filter, except where there is a crowd/street shooting.

Added on November 27, 2011, 12:54 pm

Marumi Super is quite okay, i am using one right now.
*
Yup. Of course I'll have a filter for each of my lenses. Just that no B+W, Hoya HD, Hoya Pro1D etc.. since none of my lenses are expensive. sad.gif

Wrong....

Medium Format + Long Focal Length = Imba bokeh poisoning tongue.gif

Anyways, telephoto is quite comfortable to work with also, since you don't have to be that close to the model, thus creating some space for you to work your creative or something like that.

@Newbie - Got such thing called bokeh sucks one meh? Mind posting some picta?

Got got! 16105's bokeh not nice one. I'll post tomorrow.
