As for me, after realizing that i have severe cramps during my menstruation, i decided to refrain from cold/iced drinks. Of course, it takes determination to do so in a long run. You don't see the effect in the short run but the cramps are lessen after months.
Also, you should try consuming more fish that contains Omega-3 Fatty Acids or just take fish oil as supplement. During my days when i consume these, it seems that my cramps have lessened compared to days before i consumed them.
I have tried Bak Fong pills too and I am not sure how it works for my body but my menstrual period has been regulated because of Bak Fong pills. I guess it works to regulate your menstrual period if you have irregular menstrual period.
As for Panadol pink pill, i took it only when my cramps are pretty severe. For the moment, Panadol pink pill works for me the best.
Oh and i realized that when the girls start to have menstrual cycle, they don't feel like eating and the cramps will only make it worsen. At least consume something , any hot drinks will do to soothe your pain. It will only worsen the pain if you don't eat something.
That's all i feel like sharing, according to my experiences.

QUOTE(bbblue90 @ Dec 31 2011, 08:37 PM) thanks for ur sharing. me too, try to refrain myself from cold/ice drink. the killer was the grass jelly, cincau. i think last drank was like 4 years ago. im not exaggerating but i had severe cramp after drinking it a day before my menstrual period...i was rolling + moaning at my brother's back passenger seats. good finding. i jot down what i eat (something decent over weekend) to do some research on this issue. there was once whereby i have taken 3 times salmon in a month => no menstrual period pain at all. ^^ however, the next month, where i just ate 1 time salmon in a month => menstrual period pain...so i thought it could be due to my indiscipline (i drink cold drink like few times per month). thanks again. happy new year everyone~ No problem, bbblue90! i have read some articles that some supplements such as Vitamins B1 or E will help to relief cramps during menstrual cycle. Thou, I have not personally consuming either of them so it's hard for me to tell the effectiveness. And Happy New Year to you too!

QUOTE(Llyse @ Jan 1 2012, 02:53 AM) I had my menstrual on new year's eve, such a bad luck, it seriously hurts very much. so i took panadol pink pill and it relieved the pain within hour i guess, but i could still feel tired, 'sourness' on my back though. no idea how to cure. After taking the pills, my body starts to feel tired and sour too but i guess it's normal You should rest though, get enough sleep and the pain will fades away
