I am trying really hard to understand how to install Thunderbolt, but still, I'm half way thereĀ  rclxub.gif
*
1. Boot into CWM
2. Mounts and Storage
3. Mount /system and /data
4. Flash "i9000 Restore CWM v1.0.0.zip" (CM7MIUI Restore CWM v1.0.0.zip if you're on CM7/MIUI)
5. Then flash "ThunderBolt-CWM v2.1.1.1.zip"
6. Flash "ThunderBolt-CWM i9000 XXMB LMK Others addon v1.0.0.zip" (choose Talon version if you're using Talon kernel)
7. After that flash your desired addon then reboot smile.gif

seriously u use ICS now? haiz.. i envy with u la now.. haha.. wanted to use ICS also but it still not stable for daily use.. grrr..
*
last night yes, now no tongue.gif I'm just flashing for fun as I need camera sometimes.. After playing with it I flashed back to XXJVT laugh.gif wait till it's stable with everything working then I'll flash again. They claimed that battery life is good unlike CM7/MIUI

QUOTE(lim_kobe2005 @ Nov 21 2011, 02:39 AM)
now i'm using the older version of thunderbolt, can i just install the latest one straight away? and do i need todisable lagfix first?
*
don't have to disable lagfix. flash the restore pack first then the new Thunderbolt!

QUOTE(kenny79 @ Nov 21 2011, 08:37 AM)
happy brithdays pikachu01.....by d way ICS on KEN ... are u sure it stable for daily use.??
*
I wouldn't say it's exactly stable as it's still in alpha, there could be some bugs somewhere. Unless you can bear with the "what's not working" list

Also, the hardware acceleration is not fully working too, maybe something to do with framebuffer

Anybody noticed certain apps are not compatible anymore with our phone?
eg.Crime Story,Samurai II Vengeance
I wanted to try Wind-Up Knight I saw from a Galaxy S review but under the internet browser it says imcompatible...-.- den how did the reviewer reviewed it wif his sgs...

Apparently I read from the Samurai II description devices such as Galaxy S must be at least gingerbread if not cannot download apps above 30mb..
Im still on Simplicity 0.40...gingerbread...XXJVR...too old?
*

Den I guess its time I start flashing again eh...maybe after exams. Hopefully the ICS alpha would be better for me to flash by then =D
*
NO!!! Hopefully it'll be stable by then tongue.gif

Btw Pikachu, is there any other way to flash Thunderbolt! other than using CWM? I see stratosk dropping CWM in his latest kernel.

EDIT: my bad. I think he meant the CWM app bundled with his kernel tongue.gif

hey people. wanna ask. where to find jvt modem. my simplicity is 1.5.1 but me baseband still zsjpg. normal or weird?
*
It's normal, they include ZSJPG modem because they found it to be better (well, it's subjective as modem usage differs for everybody).

If you're not satisfied with the modem's performance, u can try flashing the modem zip files here using CWM

Does everyone use ext4 already? or most of you still stick to rfs? should anyone recommend me why should change to ext4? is the differences alot?
*
Pikachu n me use ext4 oways. it's recommended. Even SGSII uses ext4. no reason to cling on RFS anymore. With Thunderbolt! tweaks and remount scripts it's even better

you mean after I convert to ext4, my phone cant support 1.3GHZ?

Added on November 24, 2011, 10:35 pmedit: hey, 1.3GHZ is now working again!!!

Added on November 24, 2011, 10:36 pm2.6k quadrant score!!! and that is a stock ROM!!
*
ur reboot has nothing to do with filesystem. It's overclocking. Which means your phone can't tahan 1.3Ghz. Different phones have different capabilities, be it the same model.

For example, my SGS might be able to withstand 1.3Ghz overclock but not yours. Hence the reason of reboots. You have to stress test it to see which settings suits your phone personally. Try the method recommended by Pikachu
