QUOTE(liez @ Oct 30 2011, 11:58 PM) interesting.arsenal playing more direct instead of the barca style of passing.a little reminiscent of the invincibles where we played more direct, counter attacks and lots of runs.with gervinho and walcott running on the flanks, the difference between the current team and the invincibles are the three men midfield and the no 10 and no 14 role.we have three men midfield to control the game with all three of them rotate in terms of defending and attacking responsibilities.we no longer have the one shield and one box-to-box player like gilberto and viera.but these three midfielders control the midfield just like gil-viera did.the change of the no 10 role,we can see RVP is a combined of bergkamp's touch and henry's finish.this is where the theo's role become important.running down the wings like henry did and provide the pass towards RVP and sometimes he finish it off by himself.we're getting there, fellow gunners.we're getting there.let's see how this team will grow. |

has frimpong dyed his hair already?
btw, chamakh is out.if RVP will be rested,JYPark will be up and running.but truth to be told,i rather rest him next weekend instead of tomorrow night.a win tomorrow will ensure the qualification for next round so i think AW will starts with RVP. |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Oct 31 2011, 10:09 PM) Interesting... i acknowledge the fact that we only have two midfielders back then instead of three right now.and reverting back to 442 is not the answer but what we have right now is more or less the same with the last successful formation, the invincible.RVP may need a striking partner but for me,theo, gervinho or even one of the midfielders should go into the box more often.we have seen so many times RVP being isolated alone up front that makes people think we need to revert back 442.without changing our formation,i think the solution is other players should get into the box and help RVP if he can't do it himself.http://arsenalvision.co.uk/articles/3824-i...the-answer.html » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « for january transfer,i hope AW will bring in more quality backups especially in RB.i think carl is too inexperience and we can't depend on djorou to be our backup RB for the rest of the season.denilson and bendtner should be off by next year.for now,the only deadwood i see in our team is squillaci.others are good enough to be backup especially rosicky who is i think slowly getting back to a player he used to be. good game.it's almost like a training for us in the first half.after halftime break, west brom did up their game a bit and try to scare us for the first 10 minutes but then we manage to control back the game and got the third goal.
november break.i hope,i wish and i pray for all our players to come back safe and sound. |

QUOTE(Corrupted Spirits @ Nov 14 2011, 07:24 PM) These are the fews signings he made. Nothing wheel and deal I can see of. But if you are mentioning on Harry's method before he joins Spuds, then I have no idea. he got VDV for cheap and everyone said he's a wheel-dealer.most of them forgot how good the players he bought really are.only bale, modric and vdv so far the best of his deals.defoe had some moments but this season his form has been dipped.heck, why are we talking bout spu*s here. QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Nov 14 2011, 07:47 PM) but most of the time the ones that are on massive discounts will be in XL or XXL ... which will reach all the way to my knees... sad to be you man.but tall people like me loves these kind of deals. |

QUOTE(kimhoong @ Nov 19 2011, 06:16 AM) Totally agree with you. I'm wondering what is the expectation of fellow gooners here now (maybe we should make a poll) for me,it would be finishing in the top 4 and above the spu*s.that's the only thing that matters.Frankly speaking, I do not set the target to be champions. Top4 is the realistic target for me, especially after considering the weak "pickup" we got in the beginning of the season. Although Champions is not my target, "challenging" the champions sounds interesting and doable Before recommending any players (should they come), what is our currently weakest positions/players? Our fullbacks are full of troubles In short, there is a lack of consistency and continuity in these areas. What really makes me worrying is our RW (or TW14 to be specific). Although TW14 has started picking up his game, I still do not think he's the first XI materials yet due to his inconsistency. I'd rather to have Rosicky or Arshavin to rotate with TW14. In contrast, the other side of the field occupied by Gervinho is more exciting to watch; despite being a newcomer. |

all of a sudden this news come out
Arsene Wenger has hinted that this season could be his final campaign at Arsenal. GettyImages Arsene Wenger: Contract expires in two years but can exit at the end of each season • Wenger: No new Cahill bid in January The Frenchman, who has been at Arsenal for 15 years, has had a tough start to the current season - having seen star names Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas depart - with the Gunners seemingly falling off the coattails of Manchester United and Manchester City. Wenger has two years to run on his contract but has claimed he will consider his future at the end of this season. "I will consider it at the end of the season," Wenger told L'Equipe. "I have two years left on my contract. But with me or someone else, it makes no difference. Who comes after me must have the basics to achieve success." Arsenal have hit form in recent weeks and Wenger has admitted his squad is in a period of transition. "We'll see in December where we can finish," Wenger, who has won three Premier League titles but none since 2004, said. "It was necessary to reconstruct the squad in a climate where we were lacking confidence. It takes time." Wenger has been linked with the England job and that position will be vacant when Fabio Capello steps down next year. He has also been linked with a return to French football with big-spending Paris Saint-Germain. soccernet sos |

i only watched the final 5 minutes of the first half and then the whole second half.all i can say is the final 5 minutes were so different with the second half.in second half, our team played much better with more confidence.
