- finally, our CM duo of le Coq and Manu Frimpong (was thinking of a combined name for them, and first name comes to my mind was not a good one so i leave it at that la...hahaha) were very good. keep their more experienced (and of course more expensive) midfielders quite for most of the time. sadly their inexperiences cost us at the end. but they will learn from this, of that i am very sure of

Szczesny makes hair pledge

Wojciech Szczesny has told his Arsenal team-mates he will grow his hair in the style of compatriot Jan Tomaszewski if Poland draw England in the Euro 2012 draw.

Shaggy-haired goalkeeper Tomaszewski was the star of the show when Poland drew 1-1 with England in 1973, a result that denied Sir Alf Ramsey's side a place in the following year's World Cup.

Now Szczesny has vowed to recreate his predecessor's look should the co-hosts be paired with England in Kiev.

"I told the lads I'm going to grow long hair if we draw England," Szczesny told www.arsenal.com.

"It would be fantastic. You might remember the goalkeeper who played against England in 1973. You should all remember him.

"So I'll grow the long hair and try to do the job as well as he did. I might have to wear a wig because there won't be enough time to grow it."

Arsenal will unveil statues of Herbert Chapman, Tony Adams and Thierry Henry to mark the club's 125th anniversary this weekend.
The club have earmarked Friday for the official unveiling of the statues outside the Emirates Stadium as part of the club's celebrations.

The Daily Telegraph say Chapman, who led the club to their first league titles in 1931 and 1933, Adams, who captained Arsenal to five league titles across three decades, and Henry, the club's record goalscorer with 226, will be the men honoured.
