One of my wall having water marked near the skirting area (only the particular area)

Attached Image

And behind of the wall only have a slide type roof from next door.

What will be the cause? Possiable on next door roof leaking? but looking at the area is almost impossiable as the water marked area are almost higher than the roof.
The extended wall didnt have any water piping conceal inside

* This area never happen leak before

Wow, extend rear all the way up. Illegal woh.

The water mark may not be that area, maybe few feet away water slip through and only the area you highlight slip out.

Could be your neighbor 1st floor roof, water flow and touch the wall and slowly slip through your wall. Your neighbor roof should have rain gutter.

My neighbor didn't have rain gutter from backyard roof as it is original from Developer.

I still thinking where and how the water could go through except I ask the neighbor to have a look from they window sad.gif

My extention came with official approved plan with sticker..it not illegal lal.

Wow, that is really new. Your area not subang / puchong right. MPSJ don't allow it.

My guess is the rain water from your neighbor house slip through to your wall when rain for sometime.

Look like I have to up to the roof top to see again...

*Under Sepang...and few houses are also extended like that.
I believed MPSJ do allow it, as few houses at my existing area also got extended like such...

Probally from the ground the water seep in. Maybe outside cement not waterproof enough. Or your neighbor floor outside water go in at the edge of e wall and make it way into your wall. Since your outside wall expose to rain.

FYI, I also extended my back rooms all the way to the back above my wet kitchen. This got approval from MBPJ. Submitted all the drawings and everything. I think the limiting factor is the lane behind separating the row of houses. Must be 10 feet or more (I think).

As I've found out, rain leak is some times not so easy to track down. I have (hopefully, had) a leak from my roof in the stair well from the shared wall with neighbour. Can see wet water mark on the plaster ceiling board. Contractor came and tried to patch it up a few times with silicone or something, but it still leaked. It's now dried out, and hopefully it will stay dry. Have to wait for some heavy rain and wind before can confirm.

Maybe YCS is right cracks at brick wall, have you done your footing and ground beam to the requirement for your extension? if not than will be a problem. My friend spend 20k to repair the crack and leak for his house for not properly done his extension. sweat.gif
