Hi, could anyone share ur experience of changing tyres from 175 65R15 to 195 60R15
on current Honda City S spec?
Some people told me that convert like this is dangerous.
Kindly comment.
Thanks

Convert to wider tyre when driving can feel the car more stick on the road & use more fuel.

The dangerous why only the tyre going to 90% of empty. When raining or road flood may have becareful a bit.
Cause the tyre more wider and no easy to water get through.
Cause I have experience on the wider tyre so I meantion on the dangerous way.

wow, first time hear wider time more dangerous , lol
expect fuel consumption become worst , every thing is better, better handling, better braking compare to narrow tyre, but due to traction increase may will decrease the accleration a bit , but this only applied on low power car, unless you're driving a high power car , which need a lot of traction to hold it, thus if you using narrow tire on highpower car will slower due to wheel spin.

@kimsin, not the tire wider to let the water not easy get through cause flooding, its because the design of the tire thread and of course like you mention the thread finish till 90% which your tire already flat to the road, means that is no more "runway" for water , of course it will slide/flood.  smile.gif
