saw this photo when was just browsing through some interior design.. i kinda like the wall panel (like a frame on wall).. it gives a very niceeee modern sleek feel to me.. what is it exactly called (wall panel? wall frame?).. and ID sifus around..are these wall decoration called european style, modern french, etc? i've seen some style with too much frames and designs..it becomes like a english old house kinda style..like those grandma will stay..
Added on October 29, 2011, 2:32 ambtw...im NOT refering to the photo frame.. This post has been edited by golfphunk: Oct 29 2011, 02:32 AM

the 'thing' called beading. get a carpenter to do simple panel with nice beading (many types) and paint it, or spray paint (higher cost) then you can get the outcome.

Correct. It is a costly thing to do, but if the carpenter got good skills, it will definitely look very nice. Personally I feel this concept is more to English Classic mix with abit of Modern Contemporary (refer furnitures).

I think if you look at any European houses/Parisian apartments/Berlin lofts, etc - they have this sort of 'thing' - wall mouldings.
Some fancy restaurants here (Alexis, Ben's KLCC etc?) uses this look very well! Best to go mid-century modern rather than "Datin" though. In the picture, I spot the modernist Isamu Noguchi table and some Eames lounge chairs -- very trite but still quite appropriate.
