hi all..i juz got my 2 months kitten 2 days ago n i managed to toilet trained her...i didn't use any litter sand n i notice that sometimes her feet will step on her pee whenever she wanted to do the scratch thing after peeing...will dat can be avoided if i use litter sand?...i took the kitten from my auntie n she also didn't use any litter sand...she juz put a tray in the toilet n her cats will do their business on it...i think i've bought medium size litter box n do i have to upgrade the size too?

yesterday when i got back from work...there were poo all over the kitchen floor...i suspected she didn't want to go to her litter box coz there were her pee n poo already...i think i need to search for the litter sand or the clumping clay...but a friend of mine suggest to use shredded paper..is it ok if i use that?

i also notice since yesterday her poo seems a bit semi liquid...i gave my cat orijen but the previous owner fed her with blackwood...can the sudden change of food can upset her stomach too?

sorry for the many questions...i'm still noob in keeping cat but i'll try my best.. icon_rolleyes.gif

You can feed your cat with Lysinc or Vitamin B complex which will enhance your cats appetite.  For the vitamin B complex you can buy from the government hospital.  Dont buy from the pharmacy as the pills are too big for the cats.  Also Vitamin B Complex is good for the fur.  It will make your cats fur shiny and more healthy.

thnx...is it the same b complex that we consume...or there are b complex juz for cat?

after weeks of worrying that why my cat didn't eat so much n she becomes a bit skinny, finally i decided to buy a repacked of blackwood kitten to mix with orijen that i bought before (suggested by the previous owner)...seems that she likes the blackwood more as i can see she finished up the blackwood kibbles but not the orijen..trying to give her the best but i think i'll settle with blackwood for now as long as she keep on eating n becomes healthy.. happy.gif

my little girl lilo the DLH kitten n i juz adopted the siamese cat dat my wife obviously named him stitch..hehe..but i suspect the kitten to be a female kitten as i can see sumthing like nipples under the kitten..will check with the vet when i bring stitch for 2nd vaccin..

as u all can see..the kitten's right ear is a bit 'koyak' n do u guys recommend it to be sewn@stitched...can it be done?...or juz let it be like dat...

overall i have 2 very different personality kitten right now...lilo seems very lazy, like to eat a lot n walk very slow while stitch is a very playful kitten dat like to be touch n love to run here n there...

juz can't wait to be back home to play with them..hehe

hi all..i'm currently kinda worried bout my DLH kitten Lilo...she's being infected with fungus on her right paw n currently on her 1st week treatment that needed me to feed her the medicine everyday....already started since monday but there is no improvement...all i can see her paw becomes worst...juz feel sad coz i can't let her out n she can't also play with my other cat.

still dunno what's the cause for the infections as i clean the cats' litter box everytime i saw pee or poo...i also wiped their playpen's and room's floor everyday after work..sumtimes with dettol sumore...

currently i also apply some antifungus cream to her paws and it seems the fungus already infected her left elbow area too....everytime i come to her room, she will give this sad look as saying to let her go out n play but i don want other area to get infected too...other than that she eats, drinks, pee n poo as usual..

thinkin of going to the vet again but she's already on 1 week treatment so mayb i'll juz have to be patient..juz hoping that she can be healthy again after dis..smile.gif

Why dont you try bathing her with Malaseb?
Malaseb is very good in treating fungus in cats and kittens.
I usually bathe my cats with this shampoo and dont even need to bring them to the vet.
For chronic cases, you will need to bathe your cat at least 3 times in a week.
For mild cases, once a week will be enough.
Do this until you see small little hairs growing.  This usually happens very fast.
You will also need to disinfect your house and the sleeping area of the cat so that other cats in the house will not get infected.  For your information fungal spores is spread by air so does not mean you quarantine your cat with fungal the other cats will not get it.
*
May i know where to get this malaseb...i quarantine her in a room in a playpen all by herself...but i still let the other cat go into the room...so she only seperated by the playpen...for now i only wipe the floor everyday with dettol...really frightened when sum1 said can loose her foot..

Hi cutiepie,

That will be great! But where is ur location? I'm at kepong baru area. Thanks

Hi hi!
Malaseb is good.
In nov when I first got my Bengal, he has fungus on several parts of his body.quite serious i'd say. Then later transmitted to my ASH as well.
Brought them to see vet, and was given both cream n malaseb (repack). Bathing is a better way compare to applying cream. But need to bath them often, maybe once in every 2-3 days. After 1 week they were ok already.
I think some pet shop stock malaseb.
Hope this help.

hello there...first of all thnx for the reply...i've went back to the clinic to ask the doctor but she was not in..the shopkeeper told me she'll available on sunday...so me n wife decided to go to other clinic in shah alam...the vet gave the kitten stronger medicine n also some oil to rub at infected areas...i did inquire bout malaseb but she said no need to as i can use the oil she gave...the way she explain to me seems like the problem is not that bad..mayb it was me who worried so much as i can see she lost lots of her fur on her front paw n neckline...the vet also tell me the dosage she gave was for 2 weeks...so let me try n see the result in 1 week time 1st.

thnx for all the replies n suggestions....you guys are truly very kind here...cheers thumbup.gif
