awesomeness. Overall is great the camera is great only certain things not full or properly organise like twitter, facebook messages cant access yet should be have fix in tango update.

Foursquare too complicated not like meego easy to use and access.

Don't bother with official Foursquare official app. Instead, use 4th and Mayor, a much much better foursquare app that even foursquare themselves prefer this over their official app.

I have my hands on Lumia 800 and pretty honest, this is a sweet phone for sure. But I dunno if it can replace my souped up, 32GB modded- Dell Venue Pro as my main Windows Phone.

Still, good lord, I can spend hours just looking at the design of this phone. So sexy!

Im starting to like Windows Phone 7.5. At first I was thought of HATING it, but when it arrived, man... its much smoother than I was expected. Much smoother than Android. And now I believe what people say to me "Never try, never know". Belum cuba belum tau.

Told ya!
I mean, I am a geek, and the prospect of having a phone that I can customize the heck outta it is very compelling. But sure, over time, the urge to do so fade, and little by little I came to realization that I need a phone that always smooth, reliable, and keep me connected all the time. Thus, WP7 (and to some extent, my N9 running Meego) is the answer, at least for now. Its smooth, reliable (My Dell Venue Pro never hang or lag, and mind you, it is considered to be one of the most glitchy Windows Phone out there), and downright keeping my needs in check.

Enjoy the experience!

wow thanks the the heads up yea 4th and mayor is much much better i wanted to reply someone commented on my check in i was unable to do on the original foursquare app. Just the 4th and mayor alittle laggy beside that its awesome
*
Hmm, I always thought that little-but-not-noticeable little pauses in 4th and Mayor was due to my Dell being the 1st gen windows phone. It seems like the app itself is the case. But hey, its still as impressive right? laugh.gif

For those who using Twitter, I'd suggests using Mehdoh for now. It provides one of the best twitter experience for the phone, plus the best part? Its free in the marketplace. Go for it!

To be fair... I never face such issue you mentioned on my previous 3 android devices... and now my nexus... maybe that's because those who face that issue have mod their phone firmware or installed some custom firmware.... if you just use it as it is.. everything will be working fine...

TBH, I've been using the original Galaxy Tab since its launch, and trust me, in its stock form, its quite unbearable sweat.gif
Don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand its limitation and capabilities, which at least for me, its nothing to fuss at. Just a little bit of TLC, compromise and it shall handle all your needs admirably.

And for me, a mantra I always used if ppl ask me what Android phone should I recommend to them rings true all the time- Don't be a cheapskate. Go for the latest and greatest (Spec wise), and you will be fine. Well for most of the time. With ICS, I really felt that Galaxy S shall be the baseline spec that anyone should go for. Lesser than that, and you will be pulling your hair soon enuff. *Still remember my experience with HTC Wildfire. Brr, I almost throw the phone outta the window, something I never done to my gadgets before, even the uber craptastic N97 laugh.gif

how bout if we donlod the map? still cant work offline?
*
It only needs to go online to get the route data. For the maps itself, its downloadable. Once the route being established, no need for internet anymore.

in other word, we still need to be online everytime we want to access nokia drive altho the map is downloaded. right?
i haven't test my lumia in data offline mode yet.
*
Yep. But I think the data downloaded is minimal, kinda like the data downloading needed for AGPS lock.
And once the route being established, you can go offline without any problem AFAIK.

Note that this only for Nokia Drive. Havent get enough quality time with Nokia Maps yet.

the design of Arc S is nice but not the performance, therefore i am in a dilemma now. hahaha

Unless you can get it very cheap, just don't bother with Arc S. Its good, I can attest to that. But IMO, its just too overpriced.

Thanks alot bro! So to summarise what you said..the OS is fluid at first, but can lag after using it for couple of months. Also, the marketplace isn't as big as iOS or Android. However, regarding the marketplace, do you mean that it is lacking in games OR performance apps, cuz I don't really mind if there's not many games but performance apps (like twitter third-party apps, evernote, pulse/rss feed readers, etc) is more important for me, as well as the battery life.
using android phone, not really interessted in iPhone. I don't really find the customizing feature really useful so it's okay for me. The main worry is the apps in windows OS and the battery life.
*
I'm using Dell Venue Pro, but I guess this rings true for every Windows Phone out there. No need to worry much about battery life IMHO. It'll last through the day.

Performance apps? Evernote, 3rd party Twitter, Whatsapp all available in the marketplace. I'd say all that you need is there. I've been using WP7 for several months now, and I can say most "performance" apps is available, or at least, its replacement. Plus, they look much better (Metro UI is sexy!)

So, in short, App wise, its good enough. And don't forget, its growing, at a very fast rate.

And don't forget, WP7 really smooth and stable! A far cry from the old WM6 days and Android.

I'd say based on what you said, WP7 is really suitable for you nod.gif

So, what are the ways to transfer then? Skydrive the only way?

I used Dropbox + Boxfiles for Dropbox personally.

And yes, Microsoft really need to do something regarding this issue
