QUOTE(Sib @ Feb 13 2012, 10:25 PM) i went to a nokia store today and finally get my hands to try out the lumia 800 personally. remember its a single core phone not dual coreas an android user for such a long time, i personally love the metro ui which is very smooth n fast. everything seems to be fluid, no stutter, no hanging and best of all quick to launch for its apps. maybe its time to change, i personally prefer its simplicity rather than a fully customizable OS which in d end gives me such a headache to use. but still no budget for it, i'm eyeing my eyes on 800. maybe wait a couple of months till d price drop a bit |

I hear so many complaints from my friends SGS II like battery fast die, overheat issue, virtual keyboard very hard to type, very confusing dunno how to use and etc so depends on ppl.
Choose one that suits you. I can certainly tell you android not for me. I know how to use it but its not for me. Added on February 13, 2012, 11:27 pm This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 13 2012, 11:27 PM |

I recommend note. Its more a complete OS from what everyone is saying bigger screen , more expensive and might be replace soon. Most of those certain what they want will go for lumia aka WP7. Not sure better go for android

deep within OS integration can never be replace by an app. If thats true they should have did it a long time ago. 4S camera better? still waiting someone to show its better than the nokia N8 so i can switch. I notice most ppl do is use app to edit only.
Even iOS atm u need install facebook, twitter, foursquare, linked in all separately. ![]() I will do a review SGS II vs Lumia 800 when i get my lumia unit. This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 16 2012, 08:36 AM |

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Feb 16 2012, 09:44 AM) Nokia said tethering would be available soon for the Lumia 800... 2.5 months ago. That's why I'm quite disappointed with Nokia, their idea of soon is too slow. give it sometime iOS have upgraded how many times to achieve OS 5.0.1 when WP7 only 7.5 update.Lumia 800's lack of a front camera is also another dealbreaker for me. I was only comparing the Lumia 800 and the iPhone 4S. The Nokia N8 is a totally different model that runs Symbian and has a 12MP camera. Yes, iOS you need to install Facebook/Twitter separately, but every other 3rd party iOS application can launch and access those applications using iPhone URL Schemes.. The integrated hub in the Lumia 800 may be nice, but ultimately is there anything you can't do with an app (post status/image/URL) ? example iphone 2g,3g,3gs, 4G and now 4S let says each version a year thats like 5 years havent include ipod touch before iphone. When WP just new.i still remember back then when all phones support 3G iphone supports until edge. Give it sometime but look how impressive is WP even it just started look at the voice command accuracy |

Don't Malu tell them android when start also got tons of issue. This cannot that cannot. After so many updates now only okay what to show off ? Wp just started. Give it some time. The next trial test u can do is throw your lumia on the floor and tell to do so. You ask them how many updates have android gone thru? Here the history they should be glad after so many updates still for problem can say good bye » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 16 2012, 04:54 PM |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Feb 17 2012, 11:34 AM) I don't think that's right.. 50% charge used up in 7 hours? When the phone has been on standby for almost all of the 7 hours? When the screen has been turned off? That's not how you justify the battery life different people different pattern of usage you didn't specify clear like is your phone continuing feeding updates? Any apps running? Have u update the battery fix by Nokia for lumia? What type charger did u use? And etcI mean look at the specs on the webpage http://www.nokia.com/my-en/products/phone/...specifications/ Added on February 17, 2012, 12:04 pm QUOTE(Andy214 @ Feb 17 2012, 11:17 AM) SIFU, try not to let it shut off. No good for battery, although already have "safety" where it still keep some charge left, but it's better try to prevent shut off too often. Thanks for the updates I know but that time really no choice lokThis post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Feb 17 2012, 12:04 PM |
