hmm...it's weird that u all have been treated badly at sri computers before... all my past experiences with sri computers have been great... i'm the type that chooses to stick to one shop so that i know the staff(especially the cashier) and give me the best prices... their list prices are sometimes more expensive but u can in fact get lower price than the other shops(all it/cycom)... just make sure u do ur homework lah... decide what u wanna buy beforehand, check the prices at other shops and then when u wanna pay at the cashier just say nicely la "kedai *** harga ### je".... the girl will then check the computer, and then give a lower price, which is usually almost at cost price...

another thing i like about sri computers is that they have a dedicated services/repair counter, so its much easier if i wanna get things repaired... i bought a thumbdrive that got faulty after 3months of using it, couldn't get it replaced(company policy lah.. 1 on 1 replacement only within 7days of purchase..understandable) but they sent it to the manufacturer and got it repaired within 1 week... as long as u keep ur receipt of purchase then they won't ask much questions...

for newbies maybe a bit susah la coz they might cheat u... but i know what i wanna buy and i make sure they know what i wanna buy so that they don't even think of cheating me lah...

well maybe different people prefer different shops... i'd say that All IT is a good option too but i hate paying to put my stuff in the locker... the guard there looks so garang... haha... generally these big supermarket style shops would be better coz they have the volume and can really cut down their cost... their records are also more systematic and it makes it much easier for warranty claims,etc...

accessories, computer components, printers etc i go to sri computers...
for notebooks i'd recommend networld computers & for networking products i go to robust network(look for Jenny if u go to robust network... she's the bestest sweetheart out of all salespersons in lowyat hehe)... stick to certain shops and get to know the people... u'll get the best deals they've got to offer.. wink.gif

erm...quoted wat u say~..r u sri comp staff or??
*
dear dokidoki...

i am not a staff of sri computers nor am i a staff of other computer shops in lowyat.. I'm just another ordinary customer... I already expected someone will somehow jump to a conclusion that I'm workin there, but what the heck... There will always be shallow people in this world... Don't simply make assumptions that i am their staff... i am entitled to my opinion, and please: I'm not that stupid to buy nearly rosak products lah..

btw, there's this thing called "mutual respect"... if u treat salespersons/service counter staff nicely they'll treat u back nicely... however rude a person is there's still a soft spot somewhere within.. If u r constantly being treated poorly, maybe u need to change the way you approach them... communication skills lah bro, u can't get them out of gadget manuals, it's an acquired skill.. wink.gif

since the sri comp cashier is a girl, then she must be desperate since most guys here want sri comp to burn to the ground (even if Miss Malaysia is at the cashier) and she has not gotten laid in a very long time. But if it's a guy cashier, then he's trying to be "friendly" and maybe after work will invite you to his place to watch "Brokeback" DVD......  sweat.gif

...aand almost every reputable shop in LYN has a service/repair centre...so nothing new here....

whistling.gif ding ding ding!! another shallow one here... Just bcoz u've went through bad experiences at the store doesn't mean u gotta flame the people that were involved in my pleasant experience.. gosh.. what sort of person would brand hardworking salespeople as desperate humans who just wanna get laid??... if u think this way that means u do honest, hard work just to get laid lah??... no wonder u're not being respected by salespeople.. coz u have that mentality of not respecting them in the first place... like i said - "mutual respect"...

a_yu_volution, you're a nice forumer and u deserve respect. Thank you for replying in a constructive manner, instead of just flaming with F words. You got my point, if there's a good relationship between customer & seller, why not. I'm not forcing u all to fall in love with SRI. If you have your own preferred shop, go ahead lah! I was just relating my experience.

Typical Malaysian forumers, a majority always chooses to curse flame & blame.. This gets u nowhere lah, being constructive does.

wooahh....just bcoz u had a pleasant experience (in a hotel room???) with the staff of that hell hole doesn't mean that we can't toast the fellas in here with our not-so-pleasant experiences...

Once again u're just showing how shallow u are... I TOTALLY EXPECTED THIS FROM YOU!! TOTALLY EXPECTED THAT U'LL MENTION SOME SORT OF SEXUAL PLEASANT EXPERIENCE...gosh... you have all your right to toast the fellas with YOUR unpleasant experiences, but you have no right at all to make assumptions/accusations against the people in my experience... I was just relating my experience, if u don't like it shut up and stick to flaming your own bad experience!!

QUOTE(deathbringer @ Apr 25 2006, 10:18 AM)
hoho....respect? that word does not exist in their vocabulary. anyone who just respects certain "valuable" customers but treats most of the other normal customers by disregarding basic customer service etiquette deserves no respect from me. Most of the people here would agree with me that they have at least one terrible experience with Sri Comp's rude, arrogant and lazy staff. I would rather a more expensive shop where they do not treat their customers like n00bs who just want to leave their fingerprints on the products instead of buying them. So, by claiming u had a wonderful time there, it means they are practicing a double standard of keeping their naive regular customers and showing the middle finger to the new ones.

Like i said, different people have different preferences... I understand that u don't like SRI... U've made your point clear... Up to u lah if u wanna hate them, i'm not forcing u to like them but don't try to sway people from believing that my experience was fake by making stupid ridiculous statements. Thank you.
