another thing i like about sri computers is that they have a dedicated services/repair counter, so its much easier if i wanna get things repaired... i bought a thumbdrive that got faulty after 3months of using it, couldn't get it replaced(company policy lah.. 1 on 1 replacement only within 7days of purchase..understandable) but they sent it to the manufacturer and got it repaired within 1 week... as long as u keep ur receipt of purchase then they won't ask much questions...
for newbies maybe a bit susah la coz they might cheat u... but i know what i wanna buy and i make sure they know what i wanna buy so that they don't even think of cheating me lah...
well maybe different people prefer different shops... i'd say that All IT is a good option too but i hate paying to put my stuff in the locker... the guard there looks so garang... haha... generally these big supermarket style shops would be better coz they have the volume and can really cut down their cost... their records are also more systematic and it makes it much easier for warranty claims,etc...
accessories, computer components, printers etc i go to sri computers...
for notebooks i'd recommend networld computers & for networking products i go to robust network(look for Jenny if u go to robust network... she's the bestest sweetheart out of all salespersons in lowyat hehe)... stick to certain shops and get to know the people... u'll get the best deals they've got to offer..
