been driven a tdci for nearly 3 months and a bit frustrated for a few weeks of bought it. The suspension a bit stiff even with 55 series tires just like my previous GT4 with 45 series tires . Sound of diesel engine really annoying me especially at the traffic light. Stock sound system also not to my liking.

But know it turn up side down , I really love my TDCi , even my wife said she more prefer sat in TDCi compare to mazda 3.

1. no doubt suspension abit stiff but still soak up small holes/bumps pretty well
2. of coz comfort level is inferior compare to altis la but then again it performs very well in handling and corner taking compare to altis
3. u hv to know it's diesel engine not petrol...dun expect it sound quiet like petrol lol...but in the car NVH level is pretty good man...it's quiet from inside the car when idling..like normal car..but the clacking sound will somewhat disappear after some time traveling on the road
4. oh well i'm not a fan of super bass or crisp sound system  tongue.gif

so now i want to ask u...what is the reason u love this car very much?  biggrin.gif  share ur experience lo
*
what I like... solid build up , good handling at the corner and higher speed , lastly.. the great amount of torque that push me the seat every time i step in the gas.

i test driven the focus tdci twice. Once hatch and once sedan. The g-force is addictive. Fun to drive. Look for kenny siew from ford fed highway pj. He offer me rm 15k discount for a 2010 silver sedan.

But i also tried the 320d. And it is more rewarding to drive and higher g-force. Also, its a RWd. A pre reg 2011 model with i drive, gps and dvd player costs rm 225k only. Just head to auto bavaria bmw premium selection in glenmarie.
*
I bought 2010 silver sedan with rm20k discount...

Biodiesel is more "clean" in eco terms. They have poorer cleaning power, poorer lubricity properties, give less power hence higher FC. The poor cleaning power cause your engine, injectors and fuel pump to wear out faster.. I see no point going for B5 since they have the same price, unless you are serious on going green lah..
*
no wonder I felt slight better performance when fuel up with normal diesel during my outstation.

*

Again - check your shipping slip smile.gif
if your car landed in Msia in Jan 2011 and you got yours in august 2011 - thats more than 6 months.
Plus i never trust oil that is put into factory. I dont know for sure 0-10K is SDAC or international standard.

Best is to have it changed at 1K mileage for peace of mind.

Before you change - DRIVE HARD!
*
that why I changed my oil during 1k but not in SDAC

but i dont think you can match Civic Type R top speed.

Anyway this new batch of Ford Focus looks really good, price wise still dunno yet. And i read some where they producing 1.0 or 1.3 ecoboost for the focus.... but i dont think it will be as smooth as the GDI 2.0 that is gonna be on sale.
*
agreed. for remap...TDCI maybe can makan FD2R up to 200kmh but then surely makan asap after that.

hardware modded + remap maybe can bring TDCi up to 240-250kmh only.

On wheel???  blink.gif  blink.gif

Wow... I always thought this car got very lembik HP wan... never knew the HP on spec sheet is on wheel not crank.

How to sunat arr? I live so far from most other FOCM members... didn't know anyone here who can help sunat my car. sad.gif
*
this car seem very lembik due to nature of diesel engine due to low rev engine. it kind of less responsive compare to normal petrol engine.

on the firrst few day getting a TDCi , I felt kind of frustrated cry.gif but now icon_rolleyes.gif

Sunat is very simple. But I recommend u to change the air filter to K&N first. Stock AF cannot tahan to suction power after sunat.

I switched from GT4 to TDCi.. migrated from FI petrol to FI diesel a kind of culture shock to me . As I mentioned , low rew diesel engine gave me a kinds of lembik feeling for the first few days driving a TDCi .

Wow... 220km/h maybe later. sweat.gif I don't have balls for such speed. Though 200km/h is just like 140km/h in a Gen.2.

No shaking or any feeling like I'm risking my life for speed. Very stable. Almost like my friend BMW 325i.

That's (200km/h) the maximum I've ever tried.

At least with a FD2R and RX-8 this Focus TDCi can follow them aggressively (tried it with against a manual RX-8 yesterday) on a flat road (stock no mod.. not even sunat yet). And when it comes to slope / hill Focus TDCi totally owned both FD2R and RX-8.

Not sure if the driver of the FD2R was not pushing his car to the maximum but the RX-8 is (he came asking me about the car). Though I attribute the ability to taking over his car mainly due to the difference of torque between both cars. I might have a hard time if doing it on a flat road.

LOL... where else can get a car that can:

- Chase FD2R and RX-8 which both cars cannot outrun..
- Overtake both on a slight slope..
- Maintaining 200km/h with such stability and ease..

All while maintaining only 5.9l/100km.

Dammmmm awesome...

TDCi is king of hills.

mostly we can win any battle up to 160-180 only...after that I just let them overtake me icon_idea.gif

Go Sime Darby Auto Connexion PJ... ask them around.
Probably got one or two units left.

Awesome car.

Just got the car 'sunat' last Thursday... damn can keep up with Mini Cooper S. I can't imagine how the performance will be after K&N, Mountune Airbox and remap. All mods below RM 4,000 total. Probably can go on par with Golf GTi??
*
Golf GTi? doh.gif

Golf TSi? thumbup.gif yes with those things had done.( exhaust mod is a must!!!)

For me..I would go to sunat , K&N, Mountune , Exhaust , Upgrading braking and lastly on remap..

Stock brake not enough to hold the horses

its hard to find the great package under the tight budget.

my wife prefer current looks and the most interesting part is the huge torque.
