one thing for sure, parts price will not be cheaper than your proton but one thing to note is that costlier but more durable parts could work out to be cheaper than cheaper but less durable ones

QUOTE(victor87 @ Oct 26 2011, 11:13 PM) Biodiesel is more "clean" in eco terms. They have poorer cleaning power, poorer lubricity properties, give less power hence higher FC. The poor cleaning power cause your engine, injectors and fuel pump to wear out faster.. I see no point going for B5 since they have the same price, unless you are serious on going green lah.. actually, i'm not too sure if it is even green in the first place with less power and higher FC, you end up using more fuel wonder what offer would the tdci focus will have mid next year Added on October 27, 2011, 9:41 amQUOTE(ceo684 @ Oct 26 2011, 10:34 AM) another point to consider is pick those station with high diesel sales volume This post has been edited by electron: Oct 27 2011, 09:41 AM

QUOTE(yamasce @ Oct 27 2011, 09:56 AM) do u mean the new focus or new batch of shipment of focus?coz SD head of sales department told me new focus will hv the new ecoboost engine as seen in mondeo but will onli come earliest Q4 2012...it will be petrol version...then maybe in 2013 not sure when onli bring in tdci... how to know which station has higher diesel sales volume?what is the reason behind by doing this? currently is considering the current model but if by that time, there's firm plan to release maybe the 1.6 EcoBoost version, then probably will consider that 2.0 EcoBoost is a bit overkill for me as for diesel, they absorb moisture from atmosphere and that is not good for the engine how to find high sales volume? probably those that has many heavy vehicle going

QUOTE(GVY @ Oct 27 2011, 02:59 PM) :-( the technician say everything is fine... ask me to try longer and if problem still same at.the.coming service... complain again at that time... and wtf the wiper only warranty for 1 time only... check the battery or glow plug try to let the engine idle a few seconds before switching off after each drive try to leave the ignition in "ON" a few sec before cranking the engine see if any of these helps

QUOTE(yamasce @ Oct 27 2011, 05:01 PM) bolded part...this is important coz it can make sure ur engine can last longer too...in petrol engine after insert the key u immediately crank it...this habit has to be avoided in diesel engine in petrol car, i too leave it for a few secs at least to prime the fuel supply system you can hear the sound of the fuel pump working in older diesel cars, there would be an indicator to tell you when the glow plug has reach a required temp, which is important especially during cold days

QUOTE(GVY @ Oct 28 2011, 12:59 AM) I totally agree with you... I been in technical line so long and he try to use this trick on me... Swt... Added on October 28, 2011, 1:10 amOh he shown me the battery reading for my battery its 14.0 so he said is fine... And yes I alway sit in the car awhile b4 I turn off the engine b4 I turn off the engine... And yes I do turn the key to II until the ding ding ding sound goes off b4 I turn to III to crank the engine... Oh... em... oil pump... O.O serious? Just got my car 3 says wor... only did 800 to the car... omg... The worst part... when I accelerate after I stop at traffic lights it jerks very mildly... regarding the battery, if you measure it after a drive, like going to the workshop, chances are the reading will be ok once you leave it overnight or for a day or two, then the reading would be diff for batteries that is approaching EOL battery issues in new car, though not common, is not unheard of especially for CBU cars
