focus got high torque but heavier mah .. at the end of day you got 320NM at low rpm but when you go point A to point B like 0-100 do you get 7-8seconds acceleration like those 3L petrol cars with 300NM?? or still back to around 10seconds? like a normal 2L petrol car?

Diesel is all about long distance commute. U dare to cover 1000km on a Vios? How many times u need to refuel and stop? Focus TDCi has been proven to cover min 1000km on a full tank. I cover 2500km per month on my Triton and diesel fuel every month is RM 400. Remember, I need to haul 400kg of machinery and tools on my heavy truck (1750kg). I only need to refuel every Sunday.

Hi, today I just drove my brand new tdci from kl to penang. Plus some work travelling I put on a total of 700++km in 2 days... FC was impressive... I can't imagine quarter tank of diesel can bring me to penang...my previous ride myvi 1.3 need 1 full tank of petrol to do the same job... I was driving 30%city 60%highway 10%at the same spot... and the car still say I can go another 250km... I am not sure if I am heavy footer... but I most of the time I drive at 120kmph where at highway I usually.go 150-160Kmph...

Hehe... I know that feeling after getting my Triton. 1 week (or 700km) of town driving for full tank of diesel. tongue.gif

Vios can't even keep with TDCi with 5 adults and 2 large bags in the boot. No torque!

Hhmm... my Triton also same issue, difficult to start during cold mornings. Had to crank twice before it will start and emit white smoke in the process. After that, it runs fine. FC is still good. Engine temp ok.
