Greetings to all Wiraians biggrin.gif

Im planning to change my damaged wira 1.3 vdo distributor tomorrow & today will go & buy the new distributor.

i plan to DIY the swap.

Any tips or reminder before i proceed to change the distributor? FYI this is the first time i open the distributor myself, so any tips will going to be very helpful.

Thanks in advance thumbup.gif

i'm a heavy footer...
Rm60 of ron95 able to get me around 300km 100% city drive...
but i tried before...
it stil d same if i'm heavy or light footer...
izit consider high...?

Yours is auto/manual ?

My manual 4G15 normally RM70-75 (40L) can go 460-480km, full KL city/Klang Valley driving.
Sometimes light, sometimes heavy foot.

want to share FC:

Proton Wira 1.3 1997 Manual
Taman Tenaga Kajang (Home) <-> Menara Manulife, Bukit Damansara (Office)
Shell95 = RM60 for 5 days
*
laugh.gif Don't count mileage like that lah.
My RM75 can last me 14 days laugh.gif
Average to-and-fro 30km/day only.

Mine is leaking engine oil at gasket (between top and bottom block).
After replace/repair, no more leaking oil.

My FC is same, whether is leaking oil or not.

Maybe your foot is really heavy tongue.gif

Your RM60 @1.90 = 31.6 L
300km
= 10.5L / 100km

Mine RM75 @1.90 = 39.5 L
470km (avg)
= 8.4L / 100km

Check my siggy @7.7L / 100km which is over 280+ fuel ups (RM20k+ already)
Currently lower mileage due to I drive more aggressive, so the stats are going up.

I just repaired my front and rear bearings left side, drive shaft cover and brake pump. Now can drive with heart at ease.

My fc is alright, considering 4G15 auto. Previously using Shell 95, full tank RM 68 - 70 @ RM 1.90 can only push my mileage up to at most 350km, 320km at average. Now using Petronas 95 seems better, 400+km at most and 380km at average.

i feel got difference, more like different pump give different result. normally i pump Shell, and now some station are changing to a new pump head, which i feel gives more mileage than old pump head. maybe placebo effect gua. tongue.gif
