QUOTE(sklchan @ Feb 7 2012, 10:43 PM) but a hard reset still preferable after update... that's why manual backup still needed... all best experience come with effort... Noted. *#7780# right ? A bit scared off losing ovi store etc, but i've always wanted to do a hard reset after the last anna update. Phone is refreshing the media now, lol. Later after hard reset gonna have to do it again.... |

QUOTE(sklchan @ Feb 7 2012, 10:51 PM) proper NSU update then hard reset won't kill the Store... Hmm...i did the hard reset, but the apps are still there. The same apps after the initial Belle install by NSU. Not all apps are present of course, whatsapp, y-browser and a few others are missing. But fmobi, angry birds, picsel smart office (basically those i bought from Ovi store) are present.the last time error all cause by the QT component... where now "should" be more stable in Belle... |

Noob question guys: How do we check the battery life without using the Nokia Battery Monitor app ? Previously, you can touch the battery icon and get the info from there, but now with Belle, when you touch the top part, the notification bar pops out for a bit (unless you slide all the way down of course).

QUOTE(meow1803 @ Feb 9 2012, 12:26 AM) updated to belle but upon switching on the phone and entering the pin, the phone will boot till home screen and prompts for a security code, and despite using the correct code (or even the default one), it will still show "code error", but the phone appears to be able to function normally after that. From the official Nokia Symbian Belle FAQ:if 12345 doesnt work, what other options do i have ? QUOTE After the update to Nokia Belle, my phone asks me to enter my security code. I do this and get an error message stating “code error”. What should I do? Please try again. There are very rare cases in which the security code has to be entered a couple of times before it is getting accepted. http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/noki...elle-update-faq Another item of interest about paid apps : QUOTE If I lose paid apps after the update to Nokia Belle, will Nokia compensate for that? First, please check if the app is available for free redownloading from Nokia Store. If not, then please contact Nokia Care if the item was purchased within a year. |

whatsapp is the biggest battery drainer for me.
camera sifus: I notice that your pictures are incredibly sharp. I've checked for "dirty" lenses etc but my photos are never as sharp as yours (but generally sharp / sharper / impressive compared to normal compact camera / other smartphones). Of course most of my shots are via automatic settings. Do you guys always use manual settings ? tripod ? etc ? or did my numerous drops of the phone somehow "degraded" the camera quality ? |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Feb 21 2012, 07:16 AM) Now I only have 2 concerns left before jumping to Belle: I use Picsel Smart Office too. Send an email to Nokia Careline and explain the problem. It took 4 emails and about a week for them to send me a direct link to download the .sis file. 1. I must use Smart Office (for it's PDF reader, the default is a joke) and it doesn't seems to be listed as compatible. They will ask you for details (purchase date, reference number etc). You can get them from Ovi Suite. It works fine on Belle btw. Aspire sifu, Will shoot more, and try to ptactice what i've read here so far. Tq stimix and the rest. |

The closeness, the clarity, the colour, the sharpness - it's on a whole different level. Dang.
