Well, it's not surprising since the club itself can't even face the reality. Let me just refresh your memory, the partnership of Giggs-Carrick that dominated Chelsea seasons ago. And it was Carrick again played very well in the last few matches. I just don't understand the mentality of if we draw/lose, lets blame player A. WTF? Even worst, ask for transfers. Ever wonder why newbies get so much stick? Read pyro's post.

Goodness. Since when Cleverley is a creative midfielder? as far as I know, he played those simple passes far more often that Carrick does. Even Carrick on certain occasions, played those Hollywood passes more than any of our midfielders could attempt. what was lacking is the shots on goal. Rooney went off form. Nani lost his confidence on taking shots early. Welbeck was injured on and off. So, who will bear the responsibility in attacking? Chicharito alone? Berbatov and Owen are off injured as well. Do you reckon that we need a striker as well?

And regarding the topic of grinding wins out of matches. So, we did a lot of those in last season. Heck, even this season as well. Are you saying that we are a poor champion? I thought that a champion is the team that collected most points out of 38 matches. Do you think that champions need to outclass every single opponent that they play and a creative CM is the key?

If that's the case, why didn't City qualify for their CL group? Inexperienced? Clearly, the likes of Silva and Toure played a lot of UCL matches before. And Silva is way more creative than Cleverley ever is. So, what was the reason? Even their manager, Mancini has tonnes of experience in UCL. Not to mention the likes of Aguerro or Tevez that had featured more than a half of dozen times in UCL.

Like someone highlighted, the problem with 1-0 wins were, no finishers. The built up plays were no problem. Which means our midfield cope just fine. The problem was we wasted many chances. I do think that anyone could see that.

IMO, bringing in a new CM would cause problems afterwards. That is why we have such a big squad compared to others. And, AFAIK, SAF trusts his players. Sure, we didn't qualify for the UCL knockout stages this season but it's not like that's the end of the world. Some teams couldn't even qualify for Europa League. I wonder how they would feel.

As for City, their rough matches are just about coming up. We have done with ours and we will see how they fare against the better teams.

Now, just take a look at this table. And digest the stats yourselves.
