I'm in PJ & USJ, can confirm that UMobile coverage at these 2 place is good.
In PJ can get 9Mbps, USJ 3.5Mbps, way faster than my streamyx at home. But in PJ, the Digi coverage sux.... |

QUOTE(ashwin1234 @ Oct 22 2011, 04:16 PM) I use it. Have set it up 3 times already, each time I flash a new ROM, I start over again. The weather panel thing, try restarting your phone. Mine showed current weather then a few seconds later, the forecast appeared. Restarted the phone...but still the same. The forecast cannot appear....maybe i deleted something. Sigh....To everyone else, stock CheckROM, quadrant is 4000 |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 24 2011, 10:46 PM) You had to have data network to send or receive mms. i mean, it is only applicable to S2?For sms okay without data but not mms. And that for all telco not just Umobile cos my nokia phone can receive MMS without the data package just fine... i'm on wireless, also cannot receive? must be ph0ne data? |

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Oct 24 2011, 10:48 PM) Its not a flaw. Its how android are I guess. Easy solution. Noted on this...thanks for the clarification.Do what waveweaver said, Put MMS also for your APN type on the Umobile Internet. But have to turn ON data but you wont be charge for data usage. only MMS charges apply when you send/received MMS. but then, it means i cannot use wifi when at home when receiving MMS then. cos i cannot on both Wifi & Data right? or will wifi take precedence over Data? |

I notice the battery life of those who used 3rd party ROMS are like way way better!
Or is it just my phone? Mine only last for 12 hours maybe, on standard usage...surf via wifi for an hour or 2, normal calls, play games for 30 minutes... this normal? at night...if i dun kill all the running apps....can drain up to 30% but if i kill then lose bout 3%... |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 27 2011, 08:26 AM) Eh your phone is not sleeping. Install Better Battery Stats to find out what is keeping it awake. After I find out, just kill the running apps? https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a...terbatterystats OR forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 No other way? Seems very tedious.... Gotta check n kill every night |

QUOTE(tshin810 @ Oct 27 2011, 08:52 AM) Some nasty apps will auto start after you kill it. If it can't be killed and you not using it, just use Titanium Backup to freeze it. Damn! Use CPUSpy to monitor if your phone has deep sleep overnight. Long press home button, a menu will pop up, click the "Task Manager" and see kill running app.(people suggest not to kill any app but I still do.) Turn off auto sync. Also turn off wifi and 3G when you sleep. More tips on battery savings: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234264 Apply those tips and you will see it only drain 1% per hour. As I using CheckROM now, it only drained 3% over 8 hours. 3% over 8 hours! Feel like installing 3rd party rom.... But noob in this matter. Scared I'll brick my phone |
