I realize my Papago Lock GPS very slow .. I stay in KL and it locks quite slow .. I downloaded GPS Test to test GPS and having hard time on it ..

Any way to improve Papago or GPS ??
Currently using Papago X5 ..

Which means to lock aGPS faster , data need to be on ? Otherwise , it will be taking hours ?? I haven try using Data to use aGPS ..

Im using the ROM that comes together originally .. Haha .. The Papago is my friend help me install it , not sure how he gets it though .. he say he knows how to install , so i just pass him to install ..

I activate the GPS from the drag down screen and run Papago and GPS Test .. Didnt run Packet Data .. (Before i get my data plan , haven try after i get my data plan)

Is there any way to save Messages into a Folder ??

Build Number : GINGERBREAD.DZKH4

Is it possible for me to backup current ROM and Firmware before proceeding root ??

Which means i have to root in and set to Superuser before i do Nandroid backup ??

How to upgrade to 2.3.5 using Kies Air ??

Finally i understand what u mean by Kies .. Its Samsung Kies from their website .. Haha .. i got mixed up .. Sorry xD

P/S : Its my first android phone ..

Keep pop out Error in driver when using Samsung Kies .. Im using i9100g ..

Hmm .. i connected my phone with PC .. Samsung Kies cant detect my phone and keep saying "Samsung Mobile MTP device " has encounter error in installing device .. The filename , directory name , or volume label syntax is incorrect


Page 1 has solution for driver , but mine is device .. =/

Steps i have done ..

1) I have downloaded (SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones)
2) Uninstall the Samsung driver that is located in Control Panel
3) Restart
4) Run the installer that i have downloaded
5) Turn on Samsung Kies


is the steps correct ??

Yes .. still having problem detecting it

Done with CCleaner and problem still occur .. Is there any other possible way ? Or Im left with upgrading Android 2.3.5 using Odin ?? Didnt wanna root it so fast yet .. LOL .. Still running Stock ROM and original kernel .. xD

2) Download Odin , cf-root , 'desire' kernel and 'desire' ROM , Stock kernel and Stock ROM
3) Backup my Apps with Titanium Backup and Nandroid

5) Installing Lite'ning Rom v6.1 with Odin - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095274

Understood .. Which means the only thing i can do is :
1) Root kernel using the way from this link - http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2068824
2) Backup IMEi
3) Backup Apps with Titanium
4) And wait for available G version ROM or dig it somewhere from chinese forum ..

Btw , I think the latest batch of SGS2 available in Malaysia market mostly is G-version ..
I got 2 friends bought White SGS2 , its also G-Version ..

Stock ROM is sorta draining my battery .. Haha .. Probably coz i have Data running 24/7 , fb and line running =.=" BUT STILL ROAR !!

Yea .. I get what you mean .. Hope some of the xda-dev are able to custom ROM for G-version .. Hehe .. Someday somehow .. But rooting now doesnt help much though .. Only good for backup and tegra 2 .. Apart from that , i dun see any reason on rooting it now .. =/
