guys, im trying to root here. but mine is stuck on the triangle logo boot. i tried pressing vol up+home+power but cannot get into recovery mode.

whats happening? im a newbie to android, and this freaks me out cause i just bought the set early today

mine is i9100g.

i downloaded odin 1.85, downloaded kies, superoneclick, and a XWKDD insecure.

i went into the download mode, and odin detects my device. so i click on "PDA" tick the box and enter the XWKDD.tar file

and then its just hang like that. it supposed to reboot, but it doesn't. it stuck on the yellow triangle screen. i tried taking off the battery, and turn it back on, its still on yellow triangle screen.

my gingerbread is 2.3.5 and on the DZKI1

i need to fix this quickly, as this is my sister's phone. she asked me to root it. i thought it would be simple as jailbreaking an iphone.

now im sked she will scold me

actually i dunno. i just looked up in youtube and follow the instructions

the thing is, the phone wont enter any download mode, or even turns on like normal. when i put the battery back, it goes straight to the "SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I9100G and the below screen got yellow triangle"

oh crap. now what do i do?

so basically what do i need to do now is to open odin?
but as far as i know, a yellow box will appear if odin detects your device. when i open odin (i havent downloaded the firmware and the pit file) there is no yellow box

guys, i downloaded the official DZKI1 firmware.

the thing is, my phone can't even enter download mode, or recovery mode. when i pull out the battery, and put it back in, it went straight to the yellow triangle.

if i cannot enter download mode or recovery mode how can i operate odin?

sigh. no other way?

yes i did. i put the battery back, immediately i press vol down+home+power button. but still it went to the yellow triangle. cannot enter any mode. i tried this since 1am in the morning. i feel like throwing the phone already

anyone near sri damansara or pj can lend me usb jig? im willing to pay, or go to your place.
i just dont have the time to wait 24 hours. since tomorrow is a holiday, it will only arrive on monday. plus my sister already bising bising out of panic. it's so annoying . she's going back to johor this sunday. please anyone help

it restarts but then the yellow triangle still there

actually, it's more like when i hit the 3 button combo, the screen like fading, when i let go of the button it restart but immediately go into yellow triangle

i want to! can anyone lend me theirs?
i just cannot wait til monday to get the USB jig.



i just sms the seller, he said it wont work for the G model

if i send for warranty, will it count as void? because i did flash cf:rom the XWKDD insecure.

oh now magically enter download mode. THANK GOD!!!!!

dunno lol. just pure luck i think. i just keep on pressing the 3 button combo and suddenly the download mode appears. that was like the greatest feeling ever

oh yeah, i removed the cable, make sure the phone is cable-free first.

yeah 2 mins. since somebody told me just to keep pressing the button even when the yellow triangle fades away. the key is is to be patient and persist
of course gonna chase a girl liddis mang.

yeah, i pulled out the cable from my computer, but the i left the other end on the phone. so basically, cable-free did the job

yeah! i was trying since last night. and downloading the firmware takes forever with the slow internet

thanks. i also feel like want to cry out of joy since it made my sister stop nagging beside me telling me what is the matter with the phone every 5 minutes.

im not familiar with android, and this is the first time i ever touch an android and actually to screw things up the first time. will need to read content of this forum moarrr!
