i am not able to tether using my SGS2
this is after scouring the internet - google, samsung site,xda developers, upgrading the software, enable disable usb debugging mode, you name it and nothing works

i got no problem using it as a hotspot but not tethering via usb
even worse, after upgrading to a new baseband version, my pc not even able to detect the phone, not even as usb

so i guess its the driver problem that cos all of this. anyone here knows where to find the modem driver at all? or hwo to solve this?

my sgs2 battery only can last 7-8 hours on standby mode? is it normal? i wanna do data reset soon.

ok official news i got for i9100 and i9100g is,

the difference is the chipset, i9100 using old chipset,samsung switch the chipset because the old manufacturer run out of stock, so they switch to other chipset manufacturer in order to fulfil the demand of S2.

Basically is the same speed and performance. No worry.

I UC/UV simply becoz it makes the blardy phone less hot lol. At 1000mhz max UVes the SGS2 is noticeably less hot compared to running 1.2ghz un-UVed.

Still runs lag free too.

Set your governor to performance and you will fully utilize it.    Then your batt will also die faster. 

erm, my data is on 24/7. is there any difference in battery drainage if i toggle 2g or 3g?

Simply because besides games (and even that is arguable), the 1.2ghz clockspeed is wasted on Gingerbread. The OS doesn't really know how to even utilize the dual core. And it definitely doesn't NEED anything above 1ghz. Not yet anyway.

GTA3 might push the limits though, but as it's playable on Tegra2, I'm guessing 1ghz would be enough for it too. Similarly ICS might make better use of 1.2ghz, OR it might even be even more multi-core friendly so we can actually UNDERCLOCK even more lol.

Right now, clockspeed is as much a gimmick as megapixels are, IMHO.

Last night I decided to flash a new ROM for my 2 month old SGS2 which was my first attempt to flash a custom ROM. I was a little bit scare if anything gone wrong. Luckily I don't get any problem with it. BIG thanks to antt00's help and suggestion.
