Hi~ im trying to improve my programming skill in term of security
so far wat i know is only encrypting and decryption of confidential information, whats some other way to improve my program security such as preventing or making it harder for de-compile?

When it comes to hacking , what you mean??Prevent people from cracking product key??Or prevent people to reverse engineer your code??Reverse engineering cannot be prevented that's why ultimately any software will be cracked and any device can be jailbreak

Most of the code cannot be decompiled anymore and most people hack through memory editing and also disassembly it , so obfuscating the code seems to be useless

When I hear "improve my programming skill in term of security" the first thing that comes to mind is not "making it harder for de-compile".

To compromise security, it is not necessary to have the source code or to de-compile.

And even though your source code is out there in public, it is still possible to write secure programs.

Security-by-obscurity is not the only method, or even the best.

writing unmaintainable codes might help in confusing the hacker.

only if they try to read your source code. It's not always necessary to hack.

most you can do is making it noobs-proof.
You can't really protect it from pros, all it takes is time.
the reason for implementing encryption is to lengthen the time for a malicious user to decrypt a protected piece of info.
