fml. Can you believe how outdated I am. I just found out about the TP sometime last week, and by the time i went to Lowyat, Digital Mall PJ and Sunway Pyramid, they're all outta stock.

Anyways I did put in a RM50 deposit for the next batch. Let's hope I get it as soon as possible before I fly back to Australia. Meanwhile I've been taking this time to research as much as possible. Thankfully the deposit is refundable if I wish to cancel.

Went to test TP at midvelly today
What can I say is very solid and nice feeling.
Camera consider not bad for tablet.

Just that while swiping between home screen Abit lag
I tried to kill application and reboot it but it still the same and I wonder why ? It using ics BTW

Any user feedback about battery life ? Custom rom available d ?
*
Yeah I tested it there as well. I think it's the only place in Klang Valley at the moment with a demo model to play around with. And I must say my initial reaction was that it's pretty awesome. The only problem was that there was no graphics-intensive game on that unit to test with. Mostly just basic apps and some random games.

RM2184 - Member's discount at SenQ/SengHeng.

Thanks, haha it's the old Bold though.

Added on February 9, 2012, 11:27 pmSo... I'm a new TP owner and first time Android user. What are the first few things I should do with my TP first?

When I bought it, it was at 70% battery, do I still need to let it charge for 8hours?

What else should I do? I know there are plenty of sifu's out here. Appreciate your help guys! Cheers.

Cheers mate. rclxms.gif

I'll be on the look out for accessories around KL. I won't be ordering online as I'll be flying off to Australia in less than ten days. But most likely I'll only get any accessories from Ebay when I get there. Pretty sure I can find loads of stuffs from Hong Kong.

So far my unit has no problems, wifi all good, no light bleeding (so far), havent tested BT, docking all good, keyboard response good, just charged the whole night so charging should be all thumbup.gif as well.

Havent really tested my GPS though. I know there's the GPS issue going on but I still would like to test. Which app can I use to test GPS? The salesman at SenQ claimed that Google Maps uses wifi not GPS, which I found weird, so I thought I'll hear from you guys here.

Overall I think this is the best buy yet, for me. RM2xxx well spent, as a student whats more. Hah. My Blackberry doesn't count as a buy as it comes free with my Australian line.

Yeah, I reckon the unit I got must be the last unit in Klang Valley if not the whole Peninsula. I called SenQ HQ in the evening to enquire on their units and the guy told me so far only Klang has one unit left. I called the Klang branch and told them to hold it for me and I drove all the way there straight away. I live in Mt Kiara mind you, about 40 minutes drive to Klang.

for me it's because there are NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES besides the prime because it has a fantastic battery packed keyboard dock that i can use to type in linux commands when i remote access my linux servers.  and it's got a quad core.  I NEED to replace my laptop, and i don't want a laptop because it's not very convenient for my travels, booting time is really annoying when i need to do things a.s.a.p.  Not to mention the pathetic battery life.  a tablet is much more appropriate.

i can imagine your death stare at cars blocking your way, teeth clinching hard with saliva dripping from your mouth as you swear and honk at the idiot driving 40kmph on the high speed lane, your eyes almost exploded from the high blood pressure when u HUNT for the SenQ outlet in Klang...LOL sweat.gif

Lol it's like you were sitting in the backseat. If anyone else came across a Ssangyong Rexton speeding on the NKVE last night, a thousand apologies. whistling.gif

SenQ cover 2 yr warranty for prime right? 1 yr from asus and 1 yr from them..
*
To be exact, SenQ members are given an extra year of warranty along with the original one year. So you get two years. That's only at Senq/SengHeng outlets.

Along with this you get a ASUS international warranty for one year. This will run concurrently with the first year you get from SenQ.

Hmm, while playing Rip Tide I can't seem to tilt. I could only steer using the touchscreen settings. My accelerometer is working well i reckon.

From the Main Menu, go into Settings>Controls.
Choose Tilt or change your control schemes.

To test again your accelerometer, try these games:
1. Glowball
2. Grow

Hope this helps. hmm.gif

Yeap, it works fine with Glowball. Whenever I choose the 'Tilt' mode in Riptide I can't steer the waterski though.

nope, from their website. amazon can send to malaysia but cannot use their voucher. you buy from their website, you can use 'get25' and get 25% off! So 50 USD become 39 USD only =p
*
Cool, I hope they ship to Melbourne with minimal shipping costs. Which was the exact one you ordered? Could you post the link here please? Cheers mate.

I ordered this:

http://www.skinomi.com/sk10183-asus-transf...-protector.html

first time using wet method, hopefully its as easy as they say it is.

Looks good! Although I'm worried that I might put too much solution and some of it seeps into the device itself. It's just a possibility though.

Thanks for all the links man! Very helpful. And I don't think I should be worried about the solution getting into my device. They did say to take out the battery first and let it have a few hours to dry.

I think I'll get this!

http://www.skinomi.com/sk9730-asus-transfo...-protector.html

If I've read correctly it comes with the carbon fiber for the back as well as screen protector. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I love how the carbon fiber looks.
