My new Note is quite capable of doing wifi hot spot - no major effect on battery life if using it for hotspot for 1 hour or so - may take away 20% of battery life the max. Previously using Desire HD or Desire, hotspot is quite useless as the battery draining like water tap open to its max.

Some more can just charge the phone with the Prime since it has a USB on the tablet itself.

BTW, the user manual can be download from Asus web site already. Can have an early preview of the function.

yes, SRP for tablet only is USD499 while the dock is USD149. Looking at current exchange rate, the SRP for Malaysia shall be around RM2,099 for tablet+dock if it is launched within this month.

and the pre-order from garage sale is RM2199 for 32GB+dock for early birds. so that amount is quite fair. but he also stated the price might be increased if the supplier increase the price..

What's the expected price for tablet alone ah?

i think should be around RM1,599 minimum, max around RM1,699 maybe, if Asus Malaysia is reasonable.

iirc, quite close to US pricing with direct conversion of USD>>RM, max differ by RM100. Singapore pricing was more expensive though, partly due to the 7% GST.

When can we expect Asus Malaysia to give out more information on when it will be available and for what price? Almost December already.... Is it just a matter of keeping an eye out for their website updates?

If Lenovo's LePad K2 come out around the same time as transformer prime did, I will have hard time to choose bcos K2 rumours to have 1.6GHz Tegra 3 proc, 2GB DDR3 memory n probably the screen resolution of 1920×1152.

Not to mention other things like finger scanner, full sized usb port ... etc.

As i said, IF the rumours happen to be true, n IF its coming out around the same time as prime. Prime is good to go if there's still no official announcement from Lenovo after prime actually released in Malaysia.

I am more interested if Lenovo releases an updated Thinkpad Tablet on Tegra3. It is more business-like and most of the connectors are on the tablet itself. The only plus point the Transformer dock to me is the extra battery life, else would rather have the Thinkpad Tablet form factor.

Hope they'll reveal their secret weapon asap, will keep my option open until prime released here. Still, the prime's design is more appealing to me.

design is good but i not really keen into those two colours so i ordered the grey just to be safe.
