looks like they are offering 2 colours.

price for the 32GB version is quoted at USD499, dock is additional USD149, total converted to about RM2,038 at today's rate.

EDIT: compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note which will be launched for RM2,299 this Friday, really need to think thrice to upgrade my Desire HD to Note. Prime should be more worth it.

nope. it is 4+1 cores. The fifth core, known as a companion core. It's a low-power core that runs many of the basic functions and apps while leaving the quad-core processor dormant.

zzzzz... so many gadgets to buy. first phone, then DSLR/lens, now tablet.

thinking of changing to Galaxy Note if DiGi launch it with a good bundle this Friday. for DSLR, still funding for Canon 17-55 f/2.8, need to sell my 18-200mm kit lens first. Then next month "need" to get the ultimate Android tablet.

he is correct, you just cannot comprehend his words. He is saying the Asus Transformer Prime which WILL be launched with Tegra 3 is almost the same price as the current Tegra 2 tablet in the market like the current Transformer.

there is no apps for Tegra 3 yet as Tegra 3 tablet is not selling in the market YET until December this year.

best option is to get the mother of all android phone - the Samsung Galaxy Note and pair it (tethering) to the father of all Android tablet - the Asus Transformer Prime. Then you will have the most powerful android devices.

i agree with Benny, always tethering my 3G for my wife's Desire when we are out. She doesn't need to get a data line - save money. If i buy a Prime, definitely will do the same. My phone will be 24/7 with me anywhere. Turning on the tethering take only few seconds.

if and only if it come in Thinkpad Tablet form factor with the Stylus Pen. Else, the Prime with keyboard dock is more attractive.

Asus Prime has international warranty? can't wait to get it?

thanks, now B&H listed its arrival in December. I expect late December release in US and we get it mid January in Malaysia. Can get one after getting my bonus for CNY.

iirc, the launch of the first Transformer in Malaysia is quite hot previously. Dun think this time it will be less popular coz I am getting one too this time.

yes, i dun find it necessary for me too. Just tether it from my Galaxy Note.

My new Note is quite capable of doing wifi hot spot - no major effect on battery life if using it for hotspot for 1 hour or so - may take away 20% of battery life the max. Previously using Desire HD or Desire, hotspot is quite useless as the battery draining like water tap open to its max.

Some more can just charge the phone with the Prime since it has a USB on the tablet itself.

BTW, the user manual can be download from Asus web site already. Can have an early preview of the function.

yes, SRP for tablet only is USD499 while the dock is USD149. Looking at current exchange rate, the SRP for Malaysia shall be around RM2,099 for tablet+dock if it is launched within this month.

i think should be around RM1,599 minimum, max around RM1,699 maybe, if Asus Malaysia is reasonable.

iirc, quite close to US pricing with direct conversion of USD>>RM, max differ by RM100. Singapore pricing was more expensive though, partly due to the 7% GST.

I am more interested if Lenovo releases an updated Thinkpad Tablet on Tegra3. It is more business-like and most of the connectors are on the tablet itself. The only plus point the Transformer dock to me is the extra battery life, else would rather have the Thinkpad Tablet form factor.
