Get a +10 Curved Sword, such as Falchion or Uchigatana, then modify it with the Soul of Quelaag with the Anor Londo blacksmith.

LoL to get Uchigatana you need to be in Forest Covenant and meet Shiva in Blight Town
Uchigatana is cheap though 5k each

Or can always kill the Undead Merchant in Undead Burg or Parish was it?

DragonSlayer Greatbow is quite awesome, powerful bow

Those stupid huge priest knight near the boss room at Anor Londo, so stingy, farm them for like an hour or two only drop two titanite chunks, though I finally manage to get shield, sword and spear from those silver knights.

I finished exploring Blight Town last night and I have to say the swamps is such a pain to explore because of the poison. As if the mobs weren't bad enough they had to make the entire place full of poison.

I also found Shiva and he sells a Demon Spear enhanced with Lightning. It's time to get more money from Darkwood Garden to upgrade my glove and buy the stuff I need from Queelena & Shiva before I head into Queelag's Domain.

btw, the NPC Maneater Mildred is a piece of cake. All it took was a couple of combustions to take her down.

Equip spider shield + ring of evil eye you can wade thru the water with no problems

Kill mosquitoes for recovery cause they respawn infinitely

Demon Foliage in the Garden give at least 90% drop rate confirmed for Purple Moss and Bloom Purple Moss

Kill Shiva's bodyguard and absolve sin then you can buy from Shiva and still farm in the forest while in Forest Covenant

You cannot use the Uchigatana to make a Fury Sword. All katana variants upgrade to Chaos Sword, only Scimitars and Falchions type swords become Fury Sword.

i learned from monyetbesi to equip rust ring and not evil eye ring in swamps for enhanced mobility because you need to run like the wind there and thanks to his pro advice, i survived the swamps and not doing something stupid like killing shiva's body guard because i couldn't be bothered wasting my souls to pay for my so called sins.

I farm L. Tita Shard from the Slimes in the Depth

7 slimes near the bonfire makes easy farming saves me from buying them from the Cresfallen Merchant

unless you feel like like you can beat the game in 1.5 hours like that japanese pro in youtube, you don't really want to kill the merchant for his sword because you can literally find a better sword in Blight Town for free. And nobody gonna sell you arrows until you find the other merchant in Lower Undead Burg if you kill that merchant.
