Well, the entrance from Jln Kuchai Lama is rather narrow and can be quite packed from my experiences of going to the Goon Wah restaurant along that road there on a few weekends, so driving out during those days can be a challenge. Not sure about the weekdays, tho. I also did see a 2nd entrance on the opposite end (not sure if it's a proper entrance as I have not driven there before) but based on the Google maps image of the other side, it doesn't look that busy.

And about that abandoned shoplots sitting on that big empty plot of land, I have no idea what the developer (whoever it is) is going to do about it. Looks like it's been there for quite a long time dy with no activity whatsoever.

That's just my 2 cents based on driving around there whenever I go to that restaurant to have my breakfast/lunch.
