If i wish to sell off my car, wonder how can I inspect my car while my road tax had expired on early Sept 2014? If I dare to drive to Puspakom, does Puspakom accept car without insurance / road tax for transfer of ownership inspection? Or the PMI is the only solution, that  extra cost of $100?

What if I purchase it with loan? Will it take even longer to settle?

I am buying company car, converting it to individual car. Today, I've prepared all the forms to transfer the name in JPJ but was asked to prepare for the biometrix thumbprint from seller side in Johor. Basically the seller is from Johor while I am from Selangor.

I've came across with few things to clarify.

1. I am the buyer, can I bring the car for inspection to Puspakom on behalf of seller in Selangor as the car is with me now? If yes, I just need to bring the Geran? (Geran is already with me)

2. To process the biometrix thumbprint in JPJ Johor, we still need to go through the inspection test (RM30) first right? During the biometrix thumbprint, do the seller need to bring anything with him other than IC and JPJK3 form? He need details from me such as my name, IC number, address, but is it fine without the signature?

Fine, without signature, after that jpj will issue u with a small note called" surat perjanjian jualbeli "with you. U need to go to any jpj nearby to do the name transfer(valid within 7 days only)

I've made an appointment to do the inspection tomorrow morning, hopefully can get it done by tomorrow.

It is quite urgent due to the road tax expiry date is on 9th October 2014.

Ok ppl, need your help. I am buying a car which is currently being financed by a bank, and the owner is a foreigner. I intend to use the same bank as the rate they offered is competitive. Would like to have feedback - or suggestions -

- i sent my Mykad photostat and 3 months salary credited via screenshot to the bank. They offered 3.5% per annum which is standard. Assuming I agree, will they prepare a loan agreement while asking me or seller to do the following

- me and seller sign an agreement to purchase the car with reg card details with deposit of x amount.
- get the car inspected at Puspakom to get approval slip to bring back to the bank
- bank proceeds to transfer and close the early settlement amount in the seller account
- i sign the loan agreement and then buy a bank draft for the difference of the loan amount to seller.
- I pay for the all the charges - puspakom, - when do i pay the transfer fees to bank etc

I see - i just wanted to save $ instead of paying runner. If its just 100rm or so then ok because of my working hours during the week cannot get out of office

Ive question, i want to hold the insurance due to ncd, can i? How long can hold without car? Do i need to cancel both road tax and insurance as well? If yes, how?
