Hi, I've read some of the postings in this topic here, but my situation is different from the general scenario explained.
Let's say I've found a buyer on my own and our agreement was that he will handle puspakom inspection and the jpj procedures. So, I expect to be officially handing my car to him within next week after Raya.
Now I have just booked a new car, and the car is expected to arrive around mid-July, which is about a month or less. If I intend to interchange my old car plate to my new incoming car, does it mean I have to ask the buyer to do 2 inspections at Puspakom? Cos the standard one is just vehicle ownership transfer, right? Now I have to do interchange inspection too?
I understand the inspection report is valid for 1 month. Does that mean my old car plate can go without a physical vehicle registered to it for 1 month? At the same time, the buyer can get a new car plate for the car that I sold to him? When does he do that? When we go to jpj for the biometrics?
Hope you guys can help advise, and if possible pls let me know if there are specific steps that I have to do in sequence if I missed out mentioning...
I'm actually confused with what step comes first, if interchange is involved. Cos I know the 1st post in this thread is already sufficient (so informative, thank you!), but that's without interchange.
