Update: as of 2010+ many puspakom centre will not allow you to tear off your tint in the puspakom lane and allow you to pass.

Its a straight fail, you have to go off, remove all tint, come back again.

btw if you are sure your tint is within spec, ask them to redo the reading in front of you, if they refuse, ask to see the manager
