Hi,
I'm selling a second hand car cash. Here's the problem
1. Go to home branch, fully settle Hire purchase loan. Obtain the car ownership card from bank
2. Take car to puspakom for inspection. Get the report.
3. Head over the JPJ with all necessary documents for name change.
Now assume that the same car plate will be retained, should the buyer apply for insurance before no.3 or after no.3?
If before no.3, i've tried the system, unable to apply for motor vehicle insurance because I/C doesn't match with the vehicle registration. Make sense.
If apply after no.3, meaning to say roadtax will not be issued as there's no insurance cover note for the new owner.
Or
3.1 Change name
3.2 Apply for insurance in the next counter
3.3 Apply for road tax
All done in JPJ office?
