Bro so if i change the tyre to a better one...there will be less road noise and less bumpy?

rclxms.gif Right on!

better tyres definitely give you more grip at wet and dry condition. the noise level also reduce.

but need more $$$ biggrin.gif

after changed the tyres. ride on highway and uneven road, you can notice the noise and handling very quickly smile.gif

Skyactiv, more HP, slightly better FC, and it transmit like a manual (more ommph).

malaysians..are design blind..they will go for brand rather than looks and performance. So Civic will sell pretty ok i think. Actually the PUG 308 turbo is a good and powerful car. Turbocharged engines are just a different class! It's super fun. But since PUG and Mazdas do not have a good 2nd hand value... well u know the rest.
I drove the fiesta sports edition...underpowered but it's only 84k. so it's apple and orange.
Polo Sedan...no way! Polo HB yes way...powerful little thing. Anything with TSI is good! but both interior like proton iswara...
Go for M3 la....no regret! when i sit in my mom's new city to reverse the car out...the interior feels so cheap... then when i get into my m3...it feels like a beemer. The interior is really luxurious for it's class... Fun to drive too! Tiptronic and paddleshift...3 options to play bro!
And moreover...it looks damn good!
*
you're right. M3 Tiptronic is one of the key point. forget to mentioned. i really enjoy it so much smile.gif even in "D" mode. you always can control the car output with such feature...really can zoom zoom...hahah rclxms.gif

Mine just fabric, thinking to get leather but fear the cost will be high as my seat got airbag embedded... Outside you will get less than 2000 for nappa

M3 match with mondeo, not fiesta,
M3 4 speed is 1.6 right... If m3 1.6, i will go for fiesta sport.... More cool feature,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bro,
Mean we ve to decide leather seats before purchased?
Once used, Mazda panel ll not be accepted for leather seats?

So far, where can I get original M3 leather seats with low price?
What is the actual difference for 4 & 5 speed?
Twon use no diff rite?
*
the leather seat better decide during the order. but after you want leather seat also can but need go back to the GS to install else then can saying you void the warranty. and i heard the airbag might deploy if you install from outside workshop.

definitely 4 and 5 gear give difference (gear ratio). 5 gear more smooth during the high speed. but also depends on engine HP.

Bro, shell or petronas or caltex, the petrol came from the same refinery, the only diff is the additive that each brand put in, that is why some say their better than the other... To me no diff, we still get low grade petrol from mid east, our petrol export since it is high in quality, low sulphur content...

Added on July 9, 2012, 4:48 pm

after i tried various petrol (RON 95), i still consider the petronas give me more power. may be different car model smile.gif

Among lowest grade in petroleum brands, I am sure Petronas is the most, most lowest grade (like proton)
If u don't believe it, try to empty tank (leave 5%) & do own test
I ve a few friends, they said petronas No Power & very easy to burn off

Added on July 9, 2012, 8:08 pm

Including town drive 5 speed needed?
I made to understand (via this forum), K&N filter able to smooth the gear, especially gear 1 to 2.

How many GS shop in Klang Valley?
I search in Google, can't get GS shop
Any1 knew the address & contact no?

I visit K&N website, seem like this filter work like a SPINACH to POPOYE (work like a magic to vehicle)
*
5 gears always good to have. not only consider in the town driving. the K&N improve the throttle, but i not going to change ..now stock filter good enough for me smile.gif

GS is the one locate along the federal highway mazda showroom.

So u are taking 2.0?
U sure 6 air bag, I thought only 4 (front & side curtain)?
Mind to tell how much u get & what are the gifts?
Wanna count budget

I drop by at acc shop & ask for Dash-Build (GPS-DVD-REVERSE CAM-TV & Many more features)
He said, RM1,400 all in (free installation, no wire cut, plug & play, reverse cam & come with antenna for TV)
It's quite similar to Mazda ori (worth RM3k or rebate RM2k) without antenna

I got 1 for my Vios TRD, working very well for almost 18 months, even though Made In China
They don't ve actual stock for M3 as low demand, but I snap the pic to share with u all
*
like what he mentioned.. get 2.0 if can. 2.0 come with 6 air bags (only can find in Forte 2.0 also).
front , side, both curtain, and both B lower pillar.

the aftermarket touch screen unable control from the steering button if i not mistake. the key point of M3 is the steering function control. rclxms.gif

I can't accept the road noise when my 7 yr old Accent does it better.. sad.gif i've tested on the road i normally use hence it will be an issue. Well people can say is just an excuse but it is 1 of my criteria when looking for a car. Noise level, comfort, stability.

I've ruled out Civic & M3 already. So far still in the list is Altis & Slphy..

Btw i'm not here to flame or anything, in fact i still love Mazda as a whole. if i were to change car again i'll still try Mazda
*
you're right. today drive on highway with new Mic PS3 on it. The noise on the uneven really noisy when reaching 120 above. i trying to do some sound proofing on the front tyre area

0.216 cents / km
very expensive, for C segment, in fact u are 60% highway
Try to empty the tank by 95% & pump with Ron 95 from:
1) Shell
2) Esso
3) Caltex
4) BHP
U can feel the different

I tested above brands vs Petronas
My personal experience, Petronas can't go far (high FC & low power)
I heard petronas Ron 95 & 97 ll dirt your engine too
check it out

Petronas = Proton
Shell = Volk Wagon
Esso = BMW
Caltex = Merc
BHP = Volvo

World Top 10 company from fortune Report
Shell, world no 1
Exxon Mobil (Esso Mobil), world no 2
Caltex & BHP, still top 10
Petronas (top 100)
*
i tried shell. really no power and cant go far, instead P give me better power and mileage. will try Esso and BHP soon

On highway, what is your average speed? Mine with almost same percentage as yours can go to about 510km.. Speed at highway around 110km/h.

Added on July 16, 2012, 11:10 pmDo you follow manufacturer recommended air pressure for tyres? If i'm not mistaken:
- carry not more than 3 people, 33 psi front and rear
- carry more than that (full loads) 35 front and 45 rear..

Sometime i follow it if carry person more than 3, but will not go up to 45 psi for rear tyres.. Only max 40 psi..
*
What fuel you using? May be the car still new after 2 K km. Driving around 130

I'm driving a Mazda 3 2.0 sedan
Mileage now almost 4000km

I pump about RM80-85 each time..
Drive till totally 0 before I pump
Rough mileage of about 400-420 km

I drive primarily to work(Jalan 222) and back home(Setia Alam)
Travel on NKVE abt 110-140km/h
Travel on Federal slow due to jam...

So far, BHP & Esso works the best for me.
I've also tried Caltex & Petronas, but doesn't give me as good mileage, about 380km for both
Will try Shell next..
*
we are drinking very the same road. i use Federal Highway during the morning heading to Shah Alam.

60 % LDP 40% Federal highway. our FC almost the same as well.

i trying BHP 95 fuel today. really can feel the power but dont know how far it can go.

so far i also pump fuel around 85-86 for 40 liters. give me around 0.19 cents/km

Hi,

Have you soundproofed ur car already? I couldnt stand the road/ tyre noise also (my M3 sedan 1.6 is 3 weeks old). Went to KL auto, and did the 4 wheel arches (queit drive), autofoamed the chassis as well as well as the boot treatment all recommended to reduce the road/tyre noise. All in spend RM3k plus...

In the end, I don't feel much difference... just slight improvement only. The handling is better, goes over uneven patches and bumps better but road/ tyre sound still......

Anyone successfully managed to soundproof/ reduce the road/tyre noise succesfully? Please share ur experience. The KL Auto owner says changing tyres will really help, anyone changed their tyres already and find that there is much sound improvements? Please share as well.
*
i havent do the SP on the 4 tyres. but i already change the tyres. which is alot better than stock tyres. but the noise still high on the uneven road. normal road is quiet.

it seem the SP from KL Autofoam is not really working. i also plan to do it, but the feedback from you i might be put it on hold.

I have used Michelin for years and now using Goodyear F1A2.
got for F1A2, either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 , u wont regret it.

I never worried about the sidewall issues coz i always do the followings:

1.  always ensure the air pressure is maintained at optimum (32/33/34 psi), if possible, use N2 and only top up once in 1.5 or 2 months. A stronger pressure will help to withstand the risk of tyres burst due to potholes and encourage a proper thread wear.

2. Slow down if the road condition is bad and being slow it give u enough time to avoid potholes, also good for the drive shaft and arms.

Added on July 26, 2012, 7:26 pm

bro Goodyear F1 A2 at 470 very good price.  thumbup.gif
i can only get such price in Klang.

I'm a bit disappointed that this road noise issue hasn't improved on the FL model, once reaching 110kmh the noise is kinda annoying to me. I also noticed there was a strange noise when turning into junction with slow speed.

Changing tyre is my next plan and hope it gets better, either F1 or PS3. Other than the road noise, I love every bit of the M3 after few days owning it.
*
confirmed after you changed the tyres will help. but please give feedback on F1 AS2.

i using Mic PS3, the noise quiet a lot too but compare with the stock DUNLOP alot better
