Skyactiv, more HP, slightly better FC, and it transmit like a manual (more ommph).

malaysians..are design blind..they will go for brand rather than looks and performance. So Civic will sell pretty ok i think. Actually the PUG 308 turbo is a good and powerful car. Turbocharged engines are just a different class! It's super fun. But since PUG and Mazdas do not have a good 2nd hand value... well u know the rest.
I drove the fiesta sports edition...underpowered but it's only 84k. so it's apple and orange.
Polo Sedan...no way! Polo HB yes way...powerful little thing. Anything with TSI is good! but both interior like proton iswara...
Go for M3 la....no regret! when i sit in my mom's new city to reverse the car out...the interior feels so cheap... then when i get into my m3...it feels like a beemer. The interior is really luxurious for it's class... Fun to drive too! Tiptronic and paddleshift...3 options to play bro!
And moreover...it looks damn good!

Mine just fabric, thinking to get leather but fear the cost will be high as my seat got airbag embedded... Outside you will get less than 2000 for nappa

M3 match with mondeo, not fiesta,
M3 4 speed is 1.6 right... If m3 1.6, i will go for fiesta sport.... More cool feature,

Bro, shell or petronas or caltex, the petrol came from the same refinery, the only diff is the additive that each brand put in, that is why some say their better than the other... To me no diff, we still get low grade petrol from mid east, our petrol export since it is high in quality, low sulphur content...

after i tried various petrol (RON 95), i still consider the petronas give me more power. may be different car model



Among lowest grade in petroleum brands, I am sure Petronas is the most, most lowest grade (like proton)
If u don't believe it, try to empty tank (leave 5%) & do own test
I ve a few friends, they said petronas No Power & very easy to burn off

p/s: i am new here. GOing to book my Mazda 3 in this couple of days. 

Hai all..just to share with all mazdarian about my m3..just own m3 for a week..done my 1000km sevice..after service feel my car bit ok for power.the fc is not bad.i drive from shah alam to kuatan about 371km..highway about 200km and rest urban road.after that i pump back full tank and the meter show rm 54.32..the fc is around 0.146/km..for me is better compare with my gti.highway i just maintain 130km and kadang2 tekan kaw2.but very disapointed with top speed.can reach 165 only..hehe..cant beat myvi at highway..but i love my m3..not regret.enjoy with m3..

I can't accept the road noise when my 7 yr old Accent does it better.. i've tested on the road i normally use hence it will be an issue. Well people can say is just an excuse but it is 1 of my criteria when looking for a car. Noise level, comfort, stability.

I've ruled out Civic & M3 already. So far still in the list is Altis & Slphy.. 

Btw i'm not here to flame or anything, in fact i still love Mazda as a whole. if i were to change car again i'll still try Mazda

1) Shell
2) Esso
3) Caltex
4) BHP
U can feel the different

I tested above brands vs Petronas
My personal experience, Petronas can't go far (high FC & low power)
I heard petronas Ron 95 & 97 ll dirt your engine too

On highway, what is your average speed? Mine with almost same percentage as yours can go to about 510km.. Speed at highway around 110km/h.

- carry not more than 3 people, 33 psi front and rear
- carry more than that (full loads) 35 front and 45 rear..

Sometime i follow it if carry person more than 3, but will not go up to 45 psi for rear tyres.. Only max 40 psi..

Do you upgrade the engine oil to full syn during 1k service?

I'm driving a Mazda 3 2.0 sedan
Mileage now almost 4000km

I pump about RM80-85 each time..
Drive till totally 0 before I pump
Rough mileage of about 400-420 km

I drive primarily to work(Jalan 222) and back home(Setia Alam)
Travel on NKVE abt 110-140km/h
Travel on Federal slow due to jam...

So far, BHP & Esso works the best for me.
I've also tried Caltex & Petronas, but doesn't give me as good mileage, about 380km for both
Will try Shell next..

Have you soundproofed ur car already? I couldnt stand the road/ tyre noise also (my M3 sedan 1.6 is 3 weeks old). Went to KL auto, and did the 4 wheel arches (queit drive), autofoamed the chassis as well as well as the boot treatment all recommended to reduce the road/tyre noise. All in spend RM3k plus...

In the end, I don't feel much difference... just slight improvement only. The handling is better, goes over uneven patches and bumps better but road/ tyre sound still......

Anyone successfully managed to soundproof/ reduce the road/tyre noise succesfully? Please share ur experience. The KL Auto owner says changing tyres will really help, anyone changed their tyres already and find that there is much sound improvements? Please share as well.

Just got my 2.0 HB FL....ready to zoom zoom!!!!

I have used Michelin for years and now using Goodyear F1A2.
got for F1A2, either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 , u wont regret it.

I never worried about the sidewall issues coz i always do the followings:

1.  always ensure the air pressure is maintained at optimum (32/33/34 psi), if possible, use N2 and only top up once in 1.5 or 2 months. A stronger pressure will help to withstand the risk of tyres burst due to potholes and encourage a proper thread wear.

2. Slow down if the road condition is bad and being slow it give u enough time to avoid potholes, also good for the drive shaft and arms.

bro Goodyear F1 A2 at 470 very good price. 
i can only get such price in Klang.

I'm a bit disappointed that this road noise issue hasn't improved on the FL model, once reaching 110kmh the noise is kinda annoying to me. I also noticed there was a strange noise when turning into junction with slow speed.

Changing tyre is my next plan and hope it gets better, either F1 or PS3. Other than the road noise, I love every bit of the M3 after few days owning it.
