all-in-all, it plays music pretty well and that's what one really needs. video playback is awesome but battery life is shortened tremendously (to 2hrs n 3 hrs). video podcasts are cool.

erm..putting it on is somehow a test to ur patience.. hahaha i tried putting it on several times coz of misalignment and got dust particles stuck on to the screen protector....so really gotta put it on slowly wan...but the result is satisfying lar..

the new firmware should 2006-1-10

u download from apple website here

dload the updater program and install, follow instructions and connect ur ipod to ur computer..update..and voila... new firmware..

other than videora, u can try total video converter....
for TVC u gotta find the crack though, else u will see some text in the video.

else if u are using quicktime pro and u wanna convert .mov files to mp4.. use quicktime to do it... simple and 100% compatibility.

ya just create some playlists... drag ur mp3s into your desired playlist..
and iTunes will automatically updates ur ipod...

even when u wanna drag more songs or remove songs from the playlist..iTunes updates it for u...simple n neat...

malaysia is selling for RM199 for that Apple Universal Dock.

for me....i dont find me using it yet...maybe not now ler..haha
but the remote control function is cool..and if u have a nice hi-fi system that u wanna play with ur ipod...u can consider getting the dock...

well u have a point there...apple might just come out with another newer model of ipod and extra features added to it...

but why cant u think of it this way?
get one now..you wont regret getting it if u are really a music lover..and can stand with using iTunes...

if u thinking of scared that apple might coming out with new model. ..well the desktop or laptop that u are using now will come out with newer model as well.
desktop systems will have new and more powerful hardware releases even more frequent than ipods.. the graphics card that u are using now might become obsolete in the next few months...how about that?... if u keep on waiting.. then u dont have to buy liao... may as well save up and buy something that wont become 'old'...

just get the ipod lar... haha thumbup.gif

well the apple website it says that the firmware is upgradeable which enables support for future video formats.. just don't know whether does it include divx and others...
