how did it crack? did it just crack by itself? or got hit by stone? if crack by itself and ur car is secondhand, i think might be accident car.

this is what my persona club member using, din know how is other brand of lub perform eg, eneos, motul etc.

as long as the lub grade is 40w should be ok. don use 50w cos the oil a bit thicker and make the engine feel very heavy.

as for grade 30w is a bit too thin, engine will respond faster but do keep in mind that proton campro engine suggest us to use grade 40w. 30w can use but for long term you engine will suffer in wear and tear for the piston inside the engine.

don ever use shell helix. engine feel low power and sluggish after 3k mileage.

another tips, for better performance and giving your engine smooth, each time you service your car, ask the foreman not to pour in ngam ngam the amount of lub inside your engine.

eg persona lub capacity is 4L but for real it only is 3.75 liter because there are still remaining oil in the engine. if your pour all 4L then the engine lub will overflow and made the engine more heavy. mean the lub is over the max line from the oil indicator. even you use fully syn lub. i dono what is saga blm engine lub capacity la. 

the best is pour ngam ngam between the max and min line for the oil indicator. or ngam ngam max line will do.

syntium and magnatec of cause got diff la. but proton SC charge syntium slightly more or same price as castro magnetic. why don you try castro magnatec since your sc allow to bring own engine oil? Our club persona TS using caltex havoline even exp because he love performance. 

castro magnatec is RM 99, tesco price. don believe on what ppl said. go do some research. I am using castro magnatec after mine 1000 km service. until now 50000 km already. engine still running strong. 

if you wan good performance and quiet engine you can go for Castro edge. RM 188 tesco price. Confirm you will like it. but it is a bit exp to change it every 5000km. Change it 5000 km for tip top performance.

As for the engine oil price, cheap doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.. Sometimes it's because they keep stock. And the european lube part is true, but applies mostly to supermarkets like Tesco.

Don't you know Ron97 or Ron95, it is all the same? Proton cars recommend and built for Ron91 and above.

So both are usable. The rest is all placebo effects.

oh damn..felt weird with my car..after doing 10000km service,now im using shell ultra. I notice i can manage to clock 90km mileage with 2bar...(btw i pump till full tank till nozzle trip, everytime to check mileage)

if im not mistaken 2nd bar usually will drop after 120~150km

any comment..or should i remove batt cable to reset ecu.

Pretty average. Just don't go to the extreme and keep the low fuel indicator blinking

Did your SC pour all 4l of your engine oil into the engine? if yes, it will effect FC and power. Same theory like when you ate too much and too full you are not active anymore.

Mostly its not needed.. Cos the current ECU will adept to ur driving style and new mods after a while..
Install lightened crank pulley and dump away ur cat-con, get a 4-2-1 extractor. Denso Iridium 0.4mm Spark Plugs, Works Drop-in air filter and u can save a lot of FC ady..
Furthermore u need to consider other stuffs too, like petrol brand ( i recommend using Caltex ron95 for S4PH) Stick to the same brand, dont go changing everytime cos later the ECU will be busy adapting and u can realise the full potential.

Engine oil please avoid Shell.. I recommend Castrol Edge/ Idemitsu/ Eneos for fully sync and Castrol magnatec for semi sync. Make sure the engine oil is not overpoured into ur car.. and use 0/5W-30grade oil..

Hi guys.. when I was parking just now..  I accidentally rammed into the parking pole bar...  So my bumper now got scratch mark that is yellow... Due to the colour transfer of the pole bar..

My questions are:
1) How to fix the bumper? Replace new one? How  much does it cost to fix my bumper area?

2) Any way to conceal it for the time being?

its easily DIYable...there a box there near the engine...open the box...the filter is inside
just exchange it only
if you're scare warranty void...keep the ori filter ...switch it for 1 day when u go SC service
when reach home..change it back
its washable...only need to reoil it after u wash it....if not wrong only wash it once every 40-50k KM

spark plug depends on u...it will void the warranty of the engine and u can't exchange it every time u go SC

Open air filter box, take out orange color filter (stock), put in new one.. thats why its called drop in

got 4 clips at a long box. unclip it and you will see the ori air filter. Take out and replace it only. If still not sure, go SC and ask the workers there show you how to open the air filter box.

it is water washable. wash it every 5k mileage.

filter, spark plugs, timing belt, tension belt, coolant, brake pad, tyres, rins, light bulbs, and other stuffs that are use to be worn and tears are not include in the warranty.

by changing Lighten crank pulley, camp pulley will void engine warranty, but i dono change exhaust will void or not.

cuz now when service in SC..every 10k they will change for u
depends on how long u driver...3 years estimated 60k KM already...1 year is around 20k KM
by that time...u change to iridium...it should last a lifetime in your car...won't even need to care abt it already unless hard to crank

Izzit worth sending yr car to Proton SCs for 10 yrs high cost services juz NOT to void its warranty?

what u say is reasonable but car manufacturer give u that warranty and they can easily take it back if they found something is wrong
so it's better not use aftermarket stuff unless confirm all ok

added:if really want to use aftermarket stuff or want cheaper service
at least wait until 1 year/20k service(1st major service)..for a few reason
1. to ensure nothing wrong with engine and GB
2. to ensure other part no problem as well...those that will cost alot of money to replace
3. for those who didn't read manual, u'll have the receipt from 1st service till 20k service...can use as guidelines when u service outside....it's better to follow else problems will come to u
