on the road doesn't prove anything

win or lose can only be determined at a race track.

Hey guys, want to ask are all flx manual equipped with the getrag transmission? Did call up the sa, reply was flx no change in transmission. Was wondering if there is any stock flx that still equipped with aichi kikai. smile.gif

SA don't know shit

Have to check vehicle information plate at the side door.

F5M41 = Aichi unit
5MTT200 = Getrag unit

QUOTE(peet @ Nov 21 2011, 12:41 AM)
Just back from outstation.

I find that after 1,000km servicing, the car feels a bit sluggish, harder to pick up speed to 110 and beyond. I remember my first outstation drive I have to constantly look at the meter and use the brake to slow down to below 110.

Anyone else has same problem?

(FLX1.3A)
*
yes, very sluggish as if someone poured cement into the engine. >.<

but that is a history now

just after 5k service last Friday.

1.how long does stock Saga FL's wipers long last?

2.my 1st service at old klang road, planning on going to Kedah and if i do 2nd service in Kedah, izzit waranty void because doing servicing at different place?
*
1) 6-12 months depending on weather and how long your car is exposed to direct sunlight daily

2) As long as all service jobs is done at authorized Proton service center, the warranty will still be intact.

In malaysia, even if it is a Mercedes, Honda or Proton, it will still be lower quality compared to their equivalent counterpart at overseas.

What's the difference between 15w-50 vs 10w-40 oil?
*
viscocity.

-50 oil is thicker than -40 oil. Thick oil makes engine more sluggish due to the fact that it need more momentum to move.

Whats the advantage using thicker oil despite this viscocity weak point? So what is the recommended oil thickness for saga FLX? 'I take it -40?
*
-30 and -40

even Proton recommends -30

but i went to this SC @ sea park that day it clearly stated that must buy the oil that they carry on their shelf.. cannot bring own oil.. which other SC in PJ area that have the allowance to bring own oil for service?
*
That Seapark one looks pariah lah. Even when ask them questions very LCLY. Go to SS13 la, the one behind Sin Chew HQ. Can bring own oil.

tomorrow going to Proton COE for checking. few thing stated for my diagnosis which is :
1) Engine jerking during slow cruising (traffic jam)
2) Engine jerk during car idle
3) Gear knob too tight tongue.gif
4) Driver's door chicking noise during open/close
5) CVT light turn on last 2 month
6) Engine krut krut sound when cruising between 80 to 90 kmph (might be IAFM faulty)
*
when is your last service?
Ada tukar recall parts ah?

BTW, i noticed, after tukar the clutch pump, the jerk occur during morning cold start is minimized and not that bone snapping anymore. biggrin.gif
