I just confused, if the FD profit rate is 4.0% p.a. and they say profit sharing ratio is 80:20, is that we get 80% profit out of 4% interest they pay?? TQVM.

QUOTE(gchowyh @ Jan 11 2012, 11:13 AM) 80:20 is just an explanation of the profit sharing, but they will still pay 4%. Thanks for the reply. I think i really need to go to OCBC branch to check it out. The customer service guy was very confident about the islamic FD interest rate not being fixed. I wonder how can we confirm this since OCBC's officers ALWAYS seem to have different versions of the same product! |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 17 2012, 11:23 AM) I think KL sentral there they have one rite? QUOTE(JLean @ Jan 17 2012, 11:40 AM) Btw, which banks offers the highest for FD rates. Just curious. Any details? 1-2 Months, 3 mths, 6mths, 1 year?? For me, OCBC offers are attractive besides KFH@Tifosi: As seen from yours, ocbc is offering 3.98 for 9 months maturity period while PBB is offering 3.98 for 1 year. |

QUOTE(gsc @ Jan 28 2012, 06:00 PM) Received call from Standard Charted Bank on 4% rate. The condition is you must restore back Dec balance then only the fresh fund will enjoy 4%. I think the CS get mad liao....4.6%?Example Dec balance 100k Jan withdraw 99,990. Need to bank in money till 100k then whatever top up (min 10k) will only enjoy 4%. Told the Std Chart staff, OCBC is giving 3.8% which is much better than her bank. She replied and said Bank Rakyat is offering 4.6%. |
