FD interest no need to have spreadsheet. The calculation is pretty straightforward as no thing is complex over there. happy.gif

which banks can open FD online? I'm currently using HSBC, which is able to create FD online. However the rates aren't so good. So any other banks out there that are able to create FD online?
Even though Stan Chart says their online banking is good blah blah, but it still cant allow me to open FD online....

The government won't allow the banking system to collapse. There'll be M&A if one bank starts to fall apart or to follow US example by bailing out that particular bank with public fund from tax money.

No need. Just do it over the counter or if you have M2U, you can perform a eFD.

Not really...for past 3 months, FD/Money Market Funds outperformed most bond funds

But OSK-UOB Cash Management fund interest is dropping for the past few days. Now is below 3%.

It means if u are buying into it NOW, u should be expecting yield of 2.9XX%...

BUT if u are like me, have been invested in it for some time...past 3 months NAV gain have been drool.gif

If u know some basics of fixed income securities pricing VS yield relationship u would know what I meant icon_idea.gif

I still rather confusing between bond pricing vs bond yield. Any link to comprehend the foundation knowledge?

I heard from radio that there's a promo on FD: 3.88% p.a

Is it OCBC or UOB? I can't really remember.
