Hmmm.. would not recommend to get xbox360.. xbox360 almost end of life already..

If u into console I'll get the PS3, but not GT5... maybe some other game

if talking bout console's life, both xbox360 and ps3 are nearing end-of-life already.

both are built upon the very similar POWER architecture, only got difference in the graphics department (of which none is a winner anyway).

some games looks far better on xbox360, while some looks better on ps3.

If you want accurate driving physics with exact replicated tracks, GT5 it is.

If you want arcade type tracks with nice sounding cars, get that other... whats it called?

Forza 4 got tyre modelling physics with related properties (e.g: weight transfers) and performance data straight from Pirelli's database.

The developers even rented out each track for 2-3 days, doing tracing of the inside, middle and outside portions of the road surface. So they've mapped all the road crowning, tiny changes in camber, or angle, and other anomalies with subcentimeter accuracy.

It takes the most devoted of all the GT fanboys to ignore all the above and say Forza 4 is still an arcady game. Well, good luck.

Yes, sure, world physics and gravity changes everytime there's a new GT rolleyes.gif

+1

Yeah, physics, physics, physics. Looks like GT team got lots of physicist inside, creating new theories with each iteration of GT.

Nobel prize for them.

Please prove to me that Forza 1, Forza 2, Forza 3 & Forza 4 has the same physics engine.

From wiki of Forza 2 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forza_Motorsport_2

Play the game first, then talk.

Revamped, yes. But it doesnt feel like playing on an another planet (like GT).

Plus, it's all these "realism" thing that lots of GT fanboys rave about, even to the extent of saying everything else is just arcade. Not Forza camp.

...'realism' feeling...

to everybody else, to be fair, both games got their own merit in 'realism' aspect. but that should stop just there.

Forza 4 got its tyre and suspension physics modeled much better. turn off assist and run few laps, see how the car behave. But sometimes the way it behaves with tracks aren't that realistic.
GT5 got a better body physics modeled than Forza 4, no doubt. But it falls short in some part where Forza 4 excels in physics-modelling.

Remember, I'm not even saying either one is realistic. One just got a better-modeled physics in certain part than another, and vice-versa. There's no such thing as 'realism' in a racing game as for now. In fact, no matter how we perceive one is more superior than another in either part, the physics modelling are actually pretty much simplified to be deemed 'real'. It's not like both the outdated consoles can cope with crunching gigantic amount of physics data alone, in real time.

Saying either one is more real than another is like the neverending stupid argument of battlefield vs call of duty. There's no way the guns can be simulated pretty close on the current hardware, not to say how the damage system works. and there's much less to say on a far more complex physics modelling like, errr, cars. on consoles.

Utter the word 'realism' here again and you're just a victim of PR and false advertising. BTW i love both games because both are great games. Games.

TS should just try both games at game shop first.
