QUOTE(Poadster @ Nov 9 2011, 03:31 PM) RON97.... But why BHP seems not very popular? Their stations often quite empty one... Personal experience (on other car la).... BHP best, Esso, Caltex (but very limited stations), Shell, Petronas...; in that order.... Matrix is permandu berhemah with the fetish of tionging dugongs... See dugong is like cat sees a mouse... |

QUOTE(ikeken @ Nov 10 2011, 10:11 AM) Correction, just now tried again and now that I smell it properly, it smells more like chemical. Any idea what it is? 1) Try isolating the sound. Empty glove box, off air cond blower, etc. Could be the notorious metal cable in the door not secured properly by dampers. Get a passenger in your car to pin point the sound location. 2) Kluk kluk sound could be the famous absorber bump rubber fault. Solution still not out from Proton. Does it appear when you go over speed humps? The fix is for the nyek nyek sound. 3) Burnt smell from exhaust silencer box entering into cabin via ventilation filter located near the rear boot area. U can complain to SC on this. Some smell this during their daredevil runs... Another smell is fuel which can be solve by sealing the petrol intake hole side gaps - also can complain to SC. 4) There are a few good full synthetic oil depending on your budget. Some sc allow topup to Syntium 1000 or 3000. Some allow you to bring in own oil. You have to call to check. Some of us using Mobil 1 now. Another forumer selling Torco... |

QUOTE(ikeken @ Nov 10 2011, 10:59 AM) 1. Tried those. Except for the metal cable on the dampers you mentioned. Anyway I can pinpoint which is the cable? Wanna try holding it still (or secure it with sound proof material) and test drive. Or need to open the door board? For problem 1, try pulling the open door handle from inside (pull a little but not until door open). This will tighten the metal cable inside the door and lessen the vibration sound. If confirm from the cable, then solution is open up the panel, locate the 2 cables, slot in some sponge where the cables comes too near to the metal panels of the door. 2. Speed humps are fine no sound. Nyek Nyek hasnt encountered yet. Nyek Nyek comes when going over speed bumps? 3. Hm thought it was the fumes, but doesnt smell like it. More like chemical.. Scared got fluids leaking inside that I cant see. Later poison... 4. Thanks. 1. Uhm like a metal sheet is vibrating that type. Not radio, offed it still got. 2. Kluk Kluk sounds more loud when Im braking down the slope. 3. The smell quite apparent. Not just me, my friends can smell it right away. ----------------------------------------- For the full synthetic thought was because the engine abit noisy for me so thought full synth will reduce and improve performace abit.. Hope after 1k the noise will reduce. Lower range rpm also very draggish, no power at low rpm.. Also, new discovery. Does your Inspira roll when you are at N and ur parking brake is up (foot brake didnt apply)? My car does... Scary! I have to put in P for it to stop rolling.. And when I am at flat surface, when I put to P and apply parking brake, when I lift my leg off the foot brake the car kinda roll abit but stopped. THIS is not normal right?? The sound you have could be different. If can be easily simulated, can show it to the sc ppl during test drive. For chemical smell quite likely fumes that most of us smell when high rev the car, anyhow it not suppose to have any smell, you can ask sc but doubt they can solve. Think I read this prblem in lancer forums too.. As for handbrake, inspira/lancer seem to have this issue of having to pull the handbrake up higher in order to secure it. U can try ask sc to adjust it. This post has been edited by XCInspire: Nov 10 2011, 12:02 PM |

QUOTE(Goofie @ Nov 10 2011, 02:39 PM) Hahaha.....very true indeed. Thanks for the tip. If you guys do go, just enjoy the slow drive admiring the fauna... and honk at blind corners so ppl know u approaching. As cameron were my hometown, been driving uphill and downhill (old road) for quite some years. That road definitely gonna be my test track in testing the limit of inspira (once i save enough for it 1 advise though as the road from Tapah to Brinchang were kinda narrow....so 1 wrong turn it will be deadly....especially when the opposite coming car is those truck carrying "pao choi" cabbage. This road definitely can give you the Initial-D feeling + nice weather too.....once get out from Tapah tol can turn off your air cond and let the FUN begin!!! P/S: Not to look down on anyone....but it is highly recommended for those who rarely go up to cameron use the other highway where you enter from Simpang Pulai.....that road is so much wider and "safer". Enjoy the trip for those who plan to go Cheers So guys better stick to Genting which is still challenging yet safer. At least touch wood if anything happens, you will be found almost immediately. In Cameron, nobody would know u went down until weeks later? |

QUOTE(asdasd @ Nov 10 2011, 03:41 PM) Bro, u refering to which fraser hill road? Is it jln Gap? from the lower gate to the uphill gate? Anyone here who can do that 8 km stretch uphill in less than 8 minutes deserves the daredevil title. There's another road? Ya, think thats the one, one way up, one way down at diff times. DM3, suddenly all the real daredevils start popping up... |
