a revelation to me.. for area with dire indoor coverage.. u can use ur mr3420 antenna to have better 3g coverage.. lol.. just found out last nite..
*
really? and how do you do that?? right now im using an external patch antenna to connect to my e367, still getting 29% on mr3420....pls teach me how to do the enhancement that you mention notworthy.gif

and anyone know how to lock my 367 to always stay on hspa+? i can do it using the mdma but when i connect to mr3420, it tends to connect to 3g only (384kbps)... cry.gif

guys...i bought the patch panel from coolstore and finally im getting hspa+, b4 using the patch antenna i did not get any 3g signal from maxis, just gprs. now im getting hspa+ at about 19% on mr3420. My question is, when im connected to mr3420, i will only get around 3.5Mbps, but if i connect directly to my pc thru usb, im getting like 6Mbps, any solution to this?

coool means E367 cant use??? I saw no connector for Antenna!!
*
can lah bro....im using e367 with patch antenna

Attached Image

it gets me from gprs only to 19% hspa+ signal, capable of reaching up to 4mbps, with ping hovering around 65-75ms. when you live somewhere in jeli, kelantan, with elephants and wild boars are common scene, anything faster than tm cdma-evdo is considered superrrrr fastttt! thumbup.gif

Ahhh I see after looking at your pict. Only there is something like cover at the side.....
*
oh yes, the cover, i forgot to mention that, you have to flip open it then only you can see the connector.

btw anyone have any solution for reduce speed while connecting to mr3420? i got 6mbps speed when connected directly from modem to laptop, but got a reduction when connecting thru mr3420 down to 3mbps-4mbps....any solution guys? notworthy.gif

depends on the convertor, mine come with panel antenna whole set from Blacktubi, and the quality is gold plated as well,

signal wise i am getting Full RSSI : -51dBm and it never change a bit even heavy raining or lightning

your pigtail connector is it gold plated  hmm.gif

did u fully setup the TL-MR3420 interface ? u can try download modem bin file from tp link websites and test whether your connection is improve  notworthy.gif
*
i cant find my e367 bin file from tp-link website? can help me point to the true path? you dont have same problem as me? meaning connecting directly from modem -> pc will yield same performance as modem->mr3420->pc ? notworthy.gif

yea my same speed now direct plug in pc and router both same speed  thumbup.gif

can't find any in tp link websites,

guess u have to use the usb sniffer tools by TP link to create the modem bin file for yourself,

have you tweak the modem tx power yet ?  hmm.gif
*
tweaked to 27 tx as advised by blacktubi......the performance difference is pretty significant.... cry.gif

right now this is my setup:

i found that every 8 hours the internet connection will go down and i have to restart the router. anyone experience this before? i find that both the modem and router is very slightly warm, although i tried to stress test them to download at full capable speed for more than 3 hours.....the fan blowing the router and the wind goes straight up to the modem to cool it down.....

and my second issue is, will using the long usb cable (as in the pict) will affect signal strenght and stability of our connection?

That kind or conventional pigtail using those rubbish thin cable, bad quality and high transmission lost that's why I don't retail them in my product line. nod.gif

my combination blowing router + modem together, when i touch my router is cold,

and the usb extension you use it is USB2.0 cable ?  hmm.gif
*
ah yes, the router is just cold and the modem is slightly warm, i can say that it is not warm at all....but every 8 hours (i timed it inside the router uptime)

and im using usb 2.0 cable, does using usb3.0 makes a different? and how about the lengh? notworthy.gif

QUOTE(chulk @ Nov 5 2012, 06:24 PM)
is freaking noisy and i wonder "does my modem need that?"

and i really worry modem will catch cold or fever blowing by this 24 hours a day.

by the way,

what you use to hang the modem? nail? hanger?
*
yes very noisy and have to clean the dust on the modem and router every week. if not the dust will be very2 thick....i rent a newly built house, so there is so much dust in the house...even after living for more that 5 months.....

i dont hang the modem in anyway....i just plug it in to the router directly, the router i drill two holes and put it two screws and hang the router there. just like hanging a picture frame....

the result of connecting the modem straight to the router vs using usb cable is very2 significant.....now ping stable and got better upload speed, i guess download speed is just limited by my tower....huuuu thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
