Hi, I just bought this router. Any idea where I can get the SIM/UIM PIN? I'm on Maxis Broadband with the 3G USB modem which is plug and play. So how do I find out about the SIM/UIM PIN?
Thanks

QUOTE(KKW @ Apr 10 2012, 06:58 PM) QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 10 2012, 07:18 PM) use the sim on a phone to disable the simcard pin , by default it should be 0123 for maxis and 1234 for celcom QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 11 2012, 07:13 AM) I have the TP-Link firmware that supports entering the PIN number via the web UI if you're interested. Manage to download it before TP-Link pulled it out from their servers. I'm not sure why they did that though. The only difference I noticed is that this version allows you to use a PIN-locked modem. So, use it at your own risks!! Thanks guys, I just got this yesterday but I don't have the USB modem with me right now to test it out. I'm looking through the thread and someone posted their configuration which made me wonder where the heck do I get the SIM pin.Version of the firmware: TL-MR3420_V1_110617 PM me to get the file. ----------------------------------------- I've just uploaded it to the following file server: http://www.2shared.com/file/b-1MclFW/TL-MR..._V1_110617.html Mods, kindly remove the link if it's not allowed. Thanks! Anyway, I can't disable the SIM card pin with a phone and then put it back on the modem. That would require me to punch the SIM as I'm using an iPhone. I'll try it out this weekend. |

Ahhh, finally got it running. Setup was relatively easy. From zero to Internet in 15 minutes.
Speed is a bit low though albeit strong signal; about 65% to 75%. Using E1552 USB Modem. First run ![]() Second run is slightly a bit better. ![]() This post has been edited by Praetor: Apr 13 2012, 08:45 PM |

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever attempted to plugin a USB drive into the router? Will it share out the drive?
