My 1043ND currently support E398

Everything better than the prolink except for the "Easy configuration setup for home user"  biggrin.gif

In fact I done some research found all all linux based 3G router share the same driver package, just depend whether the manufacturer willing to upgrade the firmware or not

No, traditionally melting method using a soldering iron

Don't try this at home, I do this is a very ventilated place, plastic melting fume is hazardous  tongue.gif
*
just though why not open the whole top cover easier ? instead of drilling / melting hole ? hmm.gif

guys , im new user ..currently using e367 , but how to set the modem to use 3g only ..my modem keep on disconeecting from the router
*
there is simple step as below

- Go to -> here to download the MDMA 1.0.0.31 Beta 10

- plug in your Huawei E367 modem into your computer usb port

- close any Dashboard / Modem software if it pop up

- To use MDMA connect your Huawei modem, U need to create a RAS( 2 TV + 1 telephone icon / dial up ) connection so your MDMA will connect when u click connect

- go to open network and sharing centre

- set new connection or network

- connect to internet

- choose dial up

- set the *99# dial number

- connection name -> MDMA

- click connect

- click skip

- run MDMA that u download

- select 3G only, set your telco APN ( access point name ) like : Maxisbb, celcom3g, my3g, etc etc in the blank

- click connect inside MDMA

- after the MDMA dial up connection connected,, hit the Band config button

- select manual instead of automatic band

- tick Uncheck all

- then tick UMTS2100MHz only ( really make sure u tick this only correctly !!! )

- click apply and ok

above method should set your E367 always concentrate to UMTS2100MHz 3H/HSDPA/HSPA/HSPA+ only, notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
hope it help notworthy.gif

this setting will effect the tp link router after i plug in the modem ?
*
that method is making your E367 modem concentrate on UMTS 2100MHz 3G network only, after u setup, no matetr u direct plug into usb or use with router, your modem will concentrate in UMTS210MHz signal only notworthy.gif

It's DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/HSDPA.

I seen the 1st post you mentioned that need to disable auto run.

Wondering E587 will be the same need to set??
*

Thanks! I wish someone able to advise me. Otherwise, it's problem for me if can't work... money $$ sad.gif
*
well u could try first,

mifi modem is a mini wifi router itself, why u need it to work with this big router ?

E587 is DC-HSPA+ mifi also,..

easy for user who is always on mobile,

if u not always on the move, u can get E372 or ZTE MF680 for this big 3G router

E587 have value, u can always opt for resell it in garages sales under networking section notworthy.gif

i believe whatever stuff you buying it is also depends on luck too,

my TL_MR3420 was working fine as from day 1, and there is this inccident my TL-MR3420 drop to floor from very high woofer shelf on wall, only my E372 is kaput and my TL-MR3420 was fine still after that,..
