Maybe you can re-quote your question(s) again. Since it's blazing fast in this thread, they could've overlooked your posting.

I totally forgotten about the user manual or anything. However, I'm sure the English version is printed. You are skeptical if yours an original set or AP set?

How to make sure it is original set from Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME)?
- There are SME stickers on the box and the back side of the phone normally under the battery. It is also sealed with blue Samsung sticker.

I suppose so.

And inside the casing, there should be warranty card. Like mine the address is to somewhere in Hong Kong. So obviously the phone is not from M'sia. So I assume if SME, the warranty card should carry local adress.

Any SME set owner care to clarify?

Let's say you are getting an original set...

Step One: If you are getting from the authorised Samsung dealer, the box is usually sealed with two SME blue sticker.

Step Two: Cross reference the box serialised number and your physical set. For the box serialised number, it is printed on a white sticker (together with the barcoding and such).

Step Three: Fire up your smartphone..Press SETTINGS>Scroll down until the bottom, ABOUT PHONE>Tap on it, look for STATUS, click on it and you can check the IMEI

The IMEI should be tally ho with the serialised number. Good luck!

When buying make sure you check every details on your phone. Refer to page one. There's one code with *#*# something to check.

One advice, try on the phone with the lowest brightness. Then use the phone for awhile (so there will be different background color). Cuz I realized my phone, on the left bottom corner there, the color is abit different than the other area. Like a piece of film folded at the corner. And I'm abit lazy to send for the warranty, cuz I can't bear to leave my phone. LOL
