any tutorial how 2 install Cyanogen rom (stable) in phone...???
*
I just installed and experimented many things to make it the most stable so might be able to help you..

you can get the stable version here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=galaxys2
however for myself and another lowyat forumer we tried one of the more recent builds and it is quite stable and have some bug fixes + features that we want, you might want to install the more recent build instead: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nigh...device=galaxys2
I am using the '87' version myself.

get the google apps addon too, it contains Market, gmail, and some other google apps that due to some legal issues cyanogen can't include inside the installer above:
http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
this is the gapps.zip that is needed in the last step of the install instruction you're going to read below.

Now you're ready to flash! Do a Nandroid backup for your phone with CWM, then read 'Install via ClockworkMod' section here and follow it step by step (without fail) to install:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176411

after installed, it's normal for the Market to have force close issue, follow the troubleshooting guide here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Troubleshooting

after this should have no problem edi, but only if you seeing force close issue when running other apps, try the fix_permissions guide here as i heard it helps a lot:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Fix_permissions

also you might want to update your Modem to KI4 as i heard it is suppose to go with the KI8 Kernal cyanogen is using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277593

That's all, enjoy your most stable cyanogen you can get.. also thanks forumer teepee for some of the trouble shooting tips he pointed out smile.gif

All the work is worth it.

Cheers.

answering my own question...

ok i found one of the best japanese keyboard, if not the best keyboard replacement for our phone if you need to type multiple languages like me..

first install multiling keyboard
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.klye.ime.latin

install the japanese plugin
https://market.android.com/details?id=klye.plugin.ja

chinese pinyin available too
https://market.android.com/details?id=klye.plugin.zh_py

after that whenever i need to switch language, just a swipe on the spacebar..

the japanese input feels better than simoji! (and more nice looking... simoji quite ugly..)

cheers

Using Smart Keyboard Pro here for general gibberish in Japanese. For more serious stuff I fall back to multiling too, full handwriting recog for kanji is sick.

SKP works better in English and has a full black skin though.

Swiftkey has been promising CJK input for months, nothing yet out though.

i duno my handwriting sucks or what, it can only get it right 1 out of 4 words i write.. lol

for me.. i don't care about the camera pixels.. more pixels = larger picture.. unless you wanna use your phone to shoot poster size picture.. then different story...
the quality of lens and camera software is more important in order to shoot nice and sharp picture...
this is for me la... doesn't apply to everyone... biggrin.gif

as what uncle Benny said.. if you are concern about the warranty, then just don't root it.. keep it stock...
