You have to wait if you want video calls. This is surely coming after PR1.2 is released.

What do you mean? You don't have to root to transfer files to N9. It can connect in mass storage mode and transfer files like a thumb drive.
*
but u cant just copy paste the files right? eg if i want to transfer .flac song to my n9, or we can really just do that? plug in usb to pc and then choose mass storage and transfer the flac songs to the n9... ?

yup..just copy n paste
*
well i did try the copy and paste, via usb mass storage. when happen is, when i want to paste on the nokia n9 dir, it says that u can place this but the phone might not read the files properly or smthing like that.

so what i did was, go to developer mode, terminal, root, and then sdk mode, connect to pc, and transfer all my files.

The senior already recommend to go to telco to switch to micro sim rather than cut to prevent any issue such as this. But some of us that cut not yet faced any issue like mine

And one last q you dl apps at where?meego or nokia appstore?and one reason you all choose meego over android

Im was a big fan of apple before, until someone stole my ipad. Yes i did jailbreak my ipad and iphone 3g (sold two years ago), playing with iphone mod, ipad mod and such things.

But when i lost my ipad two weeks ago, i decided to wait until the ipad 3 comes out. But then, i read about the nokia n9 at engadget.com last week and the swipe function on meego looks intresting to me.

With 1gb ram, 1.2 arm cortex A8, dolby enhanced surround system, applicable to play .flac music, this kind of features really attracts me to try the N9.

On first 3 days when i got this phone, im did not get enough sleep. Doing the root stuff, looking for .rom for psx games, plus, my ANDROID FRIENDS seems intrested in this phone.

The swipe technology on this phone is so AWESOME~!. SWIPE TO CLOSE SWIPE TO MULTITASK SWIPE SWIPE ANDDD SWIPE.

you may probably want to ask android ppl, maemo/meego don't need rooting to get things done to certain extend (aegis comes in mind, but that's a different topic)
*
sometimes i install my stuff via rooting.

Interesting...I wonder why the service manual recommends using a shielding lid once once.

It's possible to reset N9/N950 using flasher tool.
