The server is based in Singapore, to be hosted by Hypernia. Competitor of Fragnetics.

Ping from office at TTDI @ 87-88 ms....

Standard hypernia beta servers from mmy Unifi 10Mbps I get average around 80-100 ms.

Provided bf3 doesnt stutter anymore for me in the final version, I might even help to be a VIP member.

Yeah but this Hypernia server is based in Singapore, hoping you could help us Pingtest when you get home just to be doubly sure 8)

Located in SG but with Softlayer carrier. Hypernia partnered with them. Last I heard that Softlayer doesn't peer well with Malaysian isps so I guess that's causing the high latency 8(

But please try to ping when you get home using Streamyx, we had some users that pings really well to that IP

Thanks for the inputs though

Ok I guess this new provider Hypernia has some peering issues with Malaysia, despite the fact that its only located south of the border.

We will check with them if they can resolve the peering issues, otherwise we may just get fragnetics servers.

I just hope they aren't too expensive, because judging from BC2, $8.50 SGD per slot for a 64 player server a month is going to make us go broke

We are not a clan. We are a PC gaming community for Southeast Asia. We are reaching out to clans and other communities in our region because we want to have a gathering place for mature discussion and tactical teamwork oriented gaming on servers.

You can read more at: http://www.omgeek.net/about-us/

We are investing in 2 BF3 servers to be hosted in Singapore.

I hope to see you guys soon in our servers!

Hey guys just got in touch with Hypernia

They are requesting for your traceroutes. If possible could you provide me screenshots of your traceroutes and I will forward all to them to hypernia

It seems that some of you are getting rerouted to the states then back to SG, thus having the high ping

Thanks again for your inputs

For your reference this is my Tracer route from the Philippines

I love Hypernia servers a lot, as they have been my main servers to play on for BC2 and BF3.

Their servers are stable and decent ping. Partly also because they are located in Sydney too.

Seems like peering is a real issue. This one go to Hong Kong first before going to Singapore.
