I think Kirito can just couple or marry Sugu in the mmo world while marry Asuna in real life. Can get both what? Besides, even I did saw my friends marrying each other in Ragnarok Online just for the sake of enjoying the benefits (sharing item, exp. etc) eventhough both of them are guy.

I know that the content in novel is waaaay better than anime. But heck, I'm not really a fans of books, unless it related to work or study purpose. So, I prefer anime.
